is this bad for my surgery? i plan on stopping a day b4 (tommorow) but want to make sure that smoking two days b4 (tonight) isnt a bad thing. im bout to hit up my bubbler but could use some reassurance. also i plan on telling them ive had a bad reaction to vicadins so i can get some percs.

nah man, it's as bad for you as eating fucking oregano. weed doesnt affect anything, dont get paranoid. If I were you, I'd load up a bongload right before leaving.

I smoked weed just normally up to 40 minutes before the surgery. I even smoked more than usual to deal with the anxiety. The first thing I did when I got home was take a rip from the Roor, but I kept the gauze clenched in the spots where the teeth were pulled.
I smoked too much after the surgery but I healed up just fine with no dry socket.

But to be safe you might wanna wait 48 hours after the surgery to smoke, thats what I was told when I told the doc I'm a Med MJ Patient, and asked how long until I could toke.

you should be fine. any surgery complications would *possibly* be related to immediate effects (CNS sedation, elevated BP, etc) so don't smoke tomorrow

if you don't want to sound retarded, make sure you can back your story up and say that you aren't allergic to the acetaminophen (paracetamol) but that your family doc has told you to ask for oxycodone instead of hydrocodone.

sorry, I'll repost:

any effect that smoking *might* have on your surgery would only be from immediate effects (high BP, CNS depression, etc). So don't smoke tomorrow, and you'll be fine.

if you want to have a good story to back up your "I need percs" - be sure to tell the doc that you aren't allergic to the acetaminophen (paracetamol) but that your family doc told you to ask for oxycodone instead of hydrocodone because you get way sick to your stomach from hydro.

Any chance the doctor will start questioning me? cause that would suck if he wanted to call my doctor or something lol. im high now so maybe im just thinking parnoidly but its good to be prepared.

*anyone know if claritins ok b4 surgery? have a runny nose lol

I went ahead and moved your double posts together for you so you didnt miss any replies in this one.

And no smoking before your surgery should be just fine, if your a regular smoker the smoke wont irritate your gums much
