Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, but defiantly not new to han usage. My primary dealer who always sells top notch shit at a good price recently got his hands on some G13. It's really good stuff, but I was just wondering on what you guys think about the whole "goverment-grown" aspect of it. G13 is news to me so I really don't know that much about it, just hoping for some honest imput.

What do you mean the "government-grown" aspect of it? Government grown doesn't mean quality by the way so don't associate the two. Now that medical marijuana is mostly legal in Cali people grow great marijuana there. Although its supposed to be for medical use it has leaked to the streets.

The stuff growing in Cali is really great. Authentic G13 is supposed to be nice, but there is better now. That doesn't mean don't bother, it just means don't be paying $70 an 1/8th or something crazy for G13.

The only thing I ever asked a dealer about was "Is it Sativa or Indica" I paid him based on quality of the herb, not some crazy ass name tied to it.

isnt G-13 some myth or something? i thought the strain died in the 70s. that's just what i've heard though, i'm not positive. but i also heard that authentic G-13 had a 28% THC level by weight or something like that.

Thank you for clearing it up. I was told by my friend that it was a supposed government project in the 70's, and wikipedia and urbandictionary also touched base upon that. So there is absolutely no truth in the government part at all? Please don't take me for a scrub or anything, I usually know my stuff, I just never heard of it before.

He gave me a sample bowl, and trust me it's good stuff, I assumed it was a little northern lights, since that's what he usually has, but he said it was G13 and that it was government grown, so I just thought I'd get it cleared up.

agreed...i have not a smidge of faith in strain names unless the person slinging is a reputable dude. if it looks good and smells good its prob good. some dude in north chi town tried to tell me he was slinging chronic so i figured it was worth the drive to check it out/maybe pick up, i made the 20 min drive only to realize i was getting some mids. at least the price matched the product...some people just dont understand

You really can't tell the strain even by the nugs. The plants would be a definite indicator but even then people use multiple names for the same breed. They also call strains something they aren't like a good strain of weed G13 in hopes of it selling better. Someone told me they had G13, i got some (didnt pay much) and wasn't very happy with it. Never bought from him again.

Dealers take advantage of names. Its marketing. If its good pay for it what you would pay for good weed.

I actually picked up a sample of "G13" from a trusted dealer friend one time. Said he got it from someone in 'research' and it was $20 for half a g. He never charged me more than $20 for anything and he only had 2g of this stuff(he usually deals on ounces). Couldn't sell me more than 1/2 a g and he never got it again.

It wasn't the strongest bud I smoked but definitely the cleanest and most energetic high. My gf NEVER goes out when she smokes and she actually was begging me to take her out on a bar tour after this smoke.

$40/g?!?! Sounds like you got played by the name game, my man. Medical hash can be had cheaper than that.
