is 1 plant serious trouble?

I live in South Carolina and the law here says that less than 100 plants is a felony, 5 years in jail and a $5000 fine. If somehow someone wondered upon the 1 plant in my backyard and called the cops, Would I be charged the same as someone who's growing 99 plants? Im not sure. Thanks

technically yes, but if it's only a few plants they'll let you off alot easier.

I used to live in South Carolina....sumter and charleston. How about you? Anyways SC has got some pretty dense forested area,but if it is in your backyard I would be careful. You can pull it off, just make sure NO ONE can see it, and dont tell anyone about it. If you live with your parents,They get fucked for it if they catch you also. But anyway just make sure its somewhere where it cant get found, like far into your backyard.

You sure could be. Just like in some places "Up to an oz is penalty X", even if you only had 2 grams, you fall into the "Up to an oz" category. Chances are you wouldn't get a 5grand fine and 5 years in jail, but you could.
