I workout everyday for 30 minutes so staying in shape is obviously important to me,
but I love smoking weed, so I've kind of come up with a pretty good little snack guide.
Most of these dishes take no more than 40 minutes to make and they are delicious.
Plus they are very inexpensive to make. 10 dollars at most for the most complex dishes.
Apple-Carrot Stir-FryBack by popular demand!
Ingredients
1 tbsp. cooking oil
2 medium carrots, thinly sliced (1 cup)
1 medium onion, cut into wedges and halved crosswise
3 medium cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced (3 cups)
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. water
- Pour cooking oil into a wok or large skillet. (Add more oil as necessary during cooking.) Preheat over medium-high heat. Stir-fry carrots in hot oil for 2 minutes.
- Add onion; stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove vegetables from the wok.
- Add apples to the hot wok; stir-fry for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and salt. Carefully add water. Cover and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes or until apples are just tender.
- Return cooked vegetables to the wok. Cook and stir until heated through.
Crunchy Cheesy Chicken.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
salt
pepper
4 egg whites
1/2 cup 2% reduced fat milk
1 1/2 cups cornflakes
1 cup (4 oz.) reduced fat, shredded Cheddar cheese
6 chicken breast filets; cut into strips
non-stick cooking spray
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.Set up three bowls with the following:
- flour mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper; an egg-wash; made by beating the eggs and milk together; cornflakes & cheese.
- Coat a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Dip chicken pieces in flour, then into the egg-wash, then roll in the cheesy-flakes mixture, coating the entire piece of chicken and place on the baking pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even browning.
Frozen Fruit.
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups seedless red grapes, halved
1-1/2 cups sliced ripe banana
1-1/2 cups grapefruit sections
1-3/4 cups pineapple juice
1/3 cup thawed orange juice concentrate
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into muffin tin. Cover and freeze for 4 hours or until firm. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes or until slightly thawed before serving.
Apple Crisp.
Ingredients
4 large baking apples, peeled and sliced
Nonstick cooking spray
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup oatmeal
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 cup reduced-fat margarine
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place sliced apples in a baking pan that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray.
- Mix the brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, and nutmeg together and place on top of the apples.
- Dot the top of the dry mixture with margarine.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
Bite sized Pizzas.
Ingredients
1 standard-sized bagel, cut in half
3 tablespoons low-fat meatless spaghetti sauce
1/3 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup of your favorite toppings.
- Preheat oven to low heat.
- Spread tomato sauce on each bagel half.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Add your favorite toppings.
- Bake in the oven on low heat for about 5 to 8 minutes.
Oatmeal Crisps.
Ingredients
1/2 cup vegetable oil spray
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 325 F. Spray a 9-inch square pan with vegetable oil spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine oil, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add oats, baking powder and cinnamon.
- Mix until blended. Press mixture evenly and firmly into prepared pan.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Cut into 36 squares while hot.
Cheese Bites.
Ingredients
12 ounces extra sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/3 cup flour
2 to 4 dashes hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
cornmeal
vegetable oil
- Beat egg whites very stiff.
- Add shredded cheese to egg whites, then flour, hot sauce, salt, and paprika.
- Shape mixture into small balls and roll in cornmeal.
- Put oil in a heavy skillet to a depth of about 1/4-inch.
- Heat over medium-high heat turning constantly until golden brown.
Various Fruits.

- Lets not forget the easiest and healthiest snack of all. Fruits!
Remember even though these are healthy substitutes, they can become unhealthy
if you eat a whole batch of cookies. Always eat in moderation.
