I was at 7-11 and saw the cover of the new rolling stones magazine, eminem is on the cover. On the corner though it says somethin like 'bush declares war on bongs'....anyone read this yet ?

yea it talks about operation pipe dreams. the bush admisistration is cracking down on head shops aroud the country and it gives so pretty good info.

Everyone on this forum should read that article in RS as it may effect your life one day. Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong, and dozens of others around the country, have been busted for--get this--selling bongs! That's pretty ridiculous. It just shows how out-of-control our federal government has become and how misplaced its priorities are.

The article says that rolling papers and other items may be next.

We've got American GI's dying every day in Iraq for Big Oil but the feds back home want to "crack down" on bong sellers? Sounds like a repeat of the Reefer Madness mentality all over again.

This is the same federal government that flew-in tons of cocaine from S America so that they could finance a war in Central America back in the 1980's. The same government headed by a president, named GW Bush, who was "allegedly" a coke tooter back in the 1980's.

they aint doin too good of job, i just browsed 5 diff smoke shops in like a 2mile radius today lookin for a hookah. Just another perfect example of how the DEA spends all this tax money but isnt winning the war against weed, infact they are gettin their asses kicked, but yet all that tax payers money is still being wasted

55 stores aint too bad , thats alot but theres smoke shops all over the place. Atleast in my area. Whats really fucked up is these stores that they are shutting down pay taxes and shit and earn the usa much needed money, so really the only thing the government is doing is taking away tax money that could be used for education or war or health care of a whole bunch of other usfull things. The government as a whole needs to realize weed and that bad and people are gonna continue you to smoke it, even if the government shut down every smoke shop id just walk into the local grocery store or liqour store and buy a pack of zig zags, shutting down shops dosent stop anyone from smoking it just takes away money from our economy.
