Smoking the Herb got me kicked out of my fraternity

Very, very odd. I know a couple of frats at my school who basically use smoking cannabis as an initiation process!

That sucks man. Smoking is a major part of greek life here. Are you more open about your smoking than the other guys? Maybe that's what bothered the uptight guys. Or the smokers could have pledged before the guys who voted no.

I had a friend who was in a frat, and part of the initiation was they would pick you up at random times while you were in class, and they would pull out a bowl of some of the most crystalized bud you've ever seen, make you smoke it (by yourself), than go back to class and be prepared to talk about it later.
They did the same with alcohol and shrooms.

They just wanted to make sure you were able to handle the world in any condition.

Hmm...that's weird they kicked you out without ever actually having evidence or a real case against it. My fraternity kicked me out because I smoked in the house and they caught me once.

Fraternities are really gay, in retrospect. They hate on smoking a lot. With my fraternity, sometimes it seems like none of them even went to high school or had friends for the first 18 years of their lives. Its like "Who didn't smoke weed in high school? Or was at least around it and is comfortable with people having their own choices?"

They get really sketch about it and I have to go to friends or just roll and bowl. It is extremely inconvenient and I wasted two semesters. But I still got high lol

I never denied the face that I smoked Ganja. I didn't express it at school either.

My fraternity dosent have a problem with smonking, many of the memebers do smoke and this was a known fact while they were rushing and pledging, myself included. You just have to know the people.

But some fraternitys in different places have different practices, there are some that have nationally dry houses, some are truly dry houses where no drinking goes on, and in other places there 'dry' but they will go drink and do other such activites off the premisis of the fraternity house.

Sorry that these people are so narrow minded and think that smoking herb should constitute not letting you go through the pledging process, some houses including the one you wanted to join can be stricter about these kind of things than others. But i also hope that you dont hold this against anyone else in fraternity's because they are not all the same.

like I said earlier, theyd have to kick out about 80% of my fraternity if we werent allowed to smoke. Its the main thing i do with my fraternity brothers when were chilling. We get baked before chapter and have huge smoke sessions after chapter. Some of my brothers have got me some the dankest bud ive ever seen. We are diverse and were not close minded at all.

At my school, Pi Kapp got kicked off for figthing, hazing, and drug use...all chapters and all fraternities are diffrent.

Im not saying this is the reason, nor am i dissin you... but they might have just told you that as an excuse, when really some of the kids might have just not wanted you in the fraternity. Im in a frat, and a lot of times when we dont want someone in that is joining we make up b/s reasons for why they arent in...

Exactly dude. A lot of people in the chapter smoked. Shit I even packed bowls for the Historian of the Chapter. And I had a 90% approval vote

They probably thought I had an influence on them.

But fuck it.
