GrassCity tracking IP?
Ok so heres the deal: Sometimes when I come to grasscity for the first time of the day its shows how many people are in each category such as Recreational Marijuana Use(203 viewing). The thing is it shouldn't display this unless im logged in. Ive experimented with this many times and made sure to log out and not access the web page for 24 hours and it still occassionally does it.


Maybe im just paranoid but somthing seems fishy.

Well the first step is to see if your log in has timed out or not.

The second step is to see if the source code for the site has it so the viewers display publiclly or privately. I know lots of places that display the viewers publiclly. This may change from time to time, if the grasscity site updates or changes it's code.

Third thing is: They probably are tracking choice IP's, and if you were banned at any point you may still be tracked for that reason. They may use IP blocks on banned users.

That's about all I can think of right now.

I believe that GC is open 2 the public as well.... Thats y it displays viewing .......u don't have 2 be logged in 2 read posts etc....
the reason 4 logging in is so that u can post

what difference does it make, it's going to show who's viewing whether or not you're logged in..

either way if they were tracking your IP it makes absolutely no difference because the US government/LEO couldn't subpoena it because the servers are located in amsterdam - where weeds legal..

+ i beleave u have to agree to the forum rules and in the rules it states somthing about that law enforcement is not allowed to use any information or somthing like that or 2 arrest people for stuff on here idk but i rember seeing that
