If you fail a DT does it go on your record?

I failed a drug test a couple months ago at a job i had and got fired. So i start turnning in applications to find another job when my girlfriend tells me today that if you fail a drug test its on your record. Does anyone know if this is true? It does seem like its taking quite a while to find some work.

naw, it's not true

it's not like they keep a big record of who's failed drug tests - if they did, it would be really hard for people that are now clean to get jobs

when you turn in an application, and they say "we'll call you in a few days" they're lying - they never call you back unless they're desperate - most of the time YOU'RE going to have to call THEM back, keep calling and calling until you find out what's going on. keep bothering them about it - make it seem like you really want the job

if you start calling all the time, they're gonna think you really want the job and you're gonna be a good worker

No, they just deny the application, nothing more.

They could have called your previous employer. The new laws dont allow them to say anything bad about you, but if asked the question "Would you rehire this person" And your previous employer says "no" its pretty tough to get past that.

What do you mean by "record", theres no database for employer applications of anything, and jobs don't correlate with police record
