They are supposedly the smoothest hitting bongs ever. On the cheaper end they're $50-100, up to $300. And then even more if you have a custom one made.
I'm planning on getting a $100 one for my birthday. Can anyone recommend a site to buy them from that is for sure for real?

roors are heavy duty bongs. Very thick glass, well designed bongs. I wish i could try one, ive only seen and heard about them.

ROOR's are excellent devices. All glass on glass construction. However there is a better manufacturer out there. PHX. A little bit more pricy but well worth it. A friend of mine has a standard ROOR with ash catcher bowl. It's ok, 2 chambers, all glass on glass. good stuff. But nothing compared to the 4-chamber all glass earlenmeyer flask style PHX glass tube. This is hands down the best bong ever made. Though not many are willing to dish out the $500 to get it, it is well worth the investment for the hardcore hobbiest. I myself could never see myself paying more than $50 for a bong. Then it was $100. Then $200 was the most I'd ever spend. About 7 or 8 bongs later I finally graduated to the master of all bongs. The 4 chamber earlenmeyer flask style PHX bong with ice pinch. Changes your entire outlook on weedsmoking. I would also suggest trying a vapor brothers vaporizer. Those are also very nice.

how can you guys spend $300 on something that can be broken so easily? I get pissed when a cheap glass pipe gets broken, I would go apeshit if somebody broke my expensive bong. I just couldn't relax while hitting that, I would constantly worry about it breaking.

if I had a $300 bong, only my closest friends would be able to hit it and a huge heavily padded rug would be the designated hitting area, with no standing allowed. Doesn't sound like much fun to me, but to each his own.

You are absolutely right, I get very nervous when people smoke my bong. Especially nervous when the one who is smoking it would not be able to afford a replacement. When someone "tokes insured" I have a little more peace of mind. If you look at my extra ash catcher piece, that is especially reason to get nervouse because one tiny shock to any part of that whole downstem apparatus can destroy the whole bong. I have seen a roor's bowl lightly tap a coffee table and the glass that holds the downstem in cracked. Thats the problem with glass on glass is there is no "wobbly" bowl pulling, no room for error. regular glass with rubber grommet slidebowls have a little leway when you pull them out. The machined glass must not be moved laterally during bowl removal. This is a very important tip for people smoking roors for the first time. I don't want to hear of this ever happening again. And btw, the bong pictured is $350 itself, coupled with the $100 ash catcher add-on, and the $50 handblown bowl and stem converter. So total smoking cost is $500. I have other $100-$200 bongs that I don't use because I have the ferrari of bongs. But there are some rules. Bong never goes on the floor. It can get kicked and is too easy to not see when is there. Rule 2, bong does not go outside. I really hate even taking this thing off carpet but you gotta when it comes to cleaning time. Final rule is the bowl pulling technique. I get real edgy when people stick my bowl back in at an angle, when the shit is machined to go in straight only. There is a lot of etiquette that goes unchecked these days. So if you come to my house and want to try this tube, you gotta make sure you are down with the proper etiquette. Word.

That goes for any bong of mine. Even if it's $30. But really, if a $300 bong of mine got broken by a friend, I wouldn't stress toooo much about it. It's just money. Not the end of the world. Would probably be like.. "dude.. you owe me."

I follow a simple rule for my house.. If your at my house and you break a peice, you just bought it.. simple, and nobody seems to have a problem with it.
