Hi,

I just came across this site and had to register. I was one of the fortunate ones to have a taste of Panama Red somewhere back between "69" and "71". Now at the age of 53 I have long since stopped smoking, but have told my kids (all adults) if they could find the original strain of PR I would gladly jump into the smoking circle.

The first thing about PR I became hooked on was the aroma of the buds. I remember literally spending the longest time with my nose in the bag before even considering smoking it.

Back then I remember only being able to afford about 1/8 an ounce and even then it seemed like I pretty much signed over a week's pay from the fast food joint I was working at.

Ahhh the good ol' days.

I'd love to cross this Panama Red with White Widow. I'd call it Red Widow, or Panama White. Both roll off the tongue, and sound sexy to boot.

One of our local dealers grew some panama red in a tobacco field over the summer and I had the privliedge of hitting that. Now I don't know if it was pure panama red, but one hit literally knocked me off of my feet and once I was on the ground I crawled under the bed and just laid there for a while, it was fucking crazy. Again though, I'm not sure if it was pure panama red.

I've only heard of this being pushed around here once. This kid said he picked up pounds of panama red.. eventually a guy who pushes a whole lot of weight bought a few pounds from him to try out. Needless to say it wasn't panama red and the kid got his ass beat.
