Best Homemade Bowl Piece?

Hey all, I smoke out of homemade bongs usually, and I was wondering, what is the best thing to use for a homemade bowl piece, because I usually use metal socket thing, like for wrenches, is there any health risk to this? Also, how much would a good glass bowl be?

good is a matter of oppinion. they range from 8-160+ USD

Sockets should be okay to use. The only thing i hear that can be harmful is i guess that tin foil might be linked to Alzheimer's or something.

if you have a spare trumpet mouthpiece laying around those are perfect. I think the metal helps spread out the heat cause they work so damn well.

That's an interesting idea. How much do trumpet mouthpieces cost? Even though most people don't have access to a headshop, most people have access to a music store.

Dude I dated (kinda) once upon a time made a bong/pipe from 4 or 5 tuba mouthpieces. I almost killed him. That is serious disrespect of an instrument messes up it's tone quiality AND the mouthpieces are way more expensive than a bowl!

try a tuba mouth piece, those are HUGE.

by googling, it seems they are about 10-30 bucks.

Dude I just finished a bong made from 100% lab glassware!!! I got all the parts either semi-stolen or bought surplus (like .25 an inch!). I just finished smoking a bowl or two and am really baked, so I;ll post pics sooonnn.....

You can make homemade pieces from anything use your imagination.

Another kid is making an apple one right now I think, I've made them out of jars, bottles, graded cheese containers (with the cheease still in it), pens, knifes, tin foil alone, lightbulbs

$20...made with the stuff used to make bullet proof glass, doesnt get hot or cold. Not sure how hot it would get with a flame though.

Looks like a good idea for someone who doesn't have access to any real glass pieces and wants a homeade or doesn't want to order any paraphernalia or anything.

i have heard that you can get lock jaw from smokin w/ tinfoil

cut a rectangle out of a coke can and make it into a cone shape then tape it up. thats the best way to make a bowl. or a socket from a wrench.
