The cold water does not absorb the THC, it merely knocks the trichomes off the trimmings and helps them settle to the bottom.

i usually use fresh (frozen) trim when making qwiso with great success. Will using fresh trim screw up this method? I don't wanna smoke any green hash lol

To tell you the truth August I can't say, I have never used fresh trimmings I always dry and even cure my trimmings for a least a week or two before making any type of hash. So im not sure what the result will be. perhaps give it a try and post the finished product here on the thread.

Awesome tutorial! I have an ounce of vaped weed that I want to make hash out of for 4/20, which will probably be an ounce and a quarter or more by then. This looks like the best and easiest method to do it with, but I noticed someone said this is good for small amounts. Will it be okay with the amount I'm going to be using?

lmao i thought this was the cold water hash thread so i was going to say vaped weed would be worthless for this, seeing as it just knocks the trichromes off. but yeah, this is definately the QWISO thread so, yes; it Will work with any amount. the reason someone would have said that it works for smaller amounts is... QWISO = quantity; BHO = quality. meaning, someone said that because you get more of it, proportionately. i think thats what your looking for.

All I can say is thank you Hashmouf.I had two large paper bags full of trim from my autumn and winter grows.I tried cold wash before with so-so results.Your Qwiso guide has had me busy for the past two weeks.I have at least two trays drying per day.The first time I was a bit eager and scraped to early which gave me syrup which I had to mix a buncha kief with just to get some tar.But once I realized to let it completely dry I have been averaging about 1.5g from each tray.Again thank you hashmouf. +rep

Yes you can use this method for many size batches of hash, you just need a bigger jar more ISO alcohol and a few plates or a large glass baking dish.

Or you can do it in quarter to half ounce batches at a time.

You are very welcome.

Yes like I said the most important step to making quality QWISO is patience you must wait for the extract to air dry properly before scraping, if you use heat or scrape before completely dried you will have sappy gooey hard to handle product.

Thanks for the guide, we made about 5 grams of hash from a little over 2 ounces of some trimmings. Its glossy and dark on the outside and light brown on the inside! Get everyone so blasted!
