when igniting your precious herb whats the best method? i just saw the RooR thread and saw a guy lighting his roor with a soldering iron, wich i own. what works better

a lighter, torch lighter, or a soldering iron?

and can you burn too hot? ive gotten a bowl cherried in my bubbler and it was burning my hand a lil at the end of the session 2 bowls in.

im heading to my buddies tonight, and depending on answers i get will determin what i bring.

Never ever use a torch lighter on weed. It is way too hot and literally scorches most of the THC away. You can just hear the THC screaming as you torch the shit out of it with those lighters.

The best method for actually lighting is a Bic, and to corner the bowl. In other words, dont light up the whole bowl in one hit and leave every one else with black hits, touch the side of the bowl with the lighter to save a little greens for the other people at the session.

Butane/Torch lighters are way too much heat. It just burns the hell outa the bowl before you've had your chance to enjoy it.

Just a standard bic lighter or one with a regular flame is perfect imo.

and also soldering irons? just to save your lighter? or what?

I wouldn't want to be tethered to an outlet.. Might work though if you dont mind that.

yeah prolly wouldnt be too smart. looking around the table for somthing BURNNN! i dont trust myself around hoy ovens nevermine an iron on a table. plus it could fall over.

Best way to smoke your bowl with a bic is to hold the flame slightly above the bowl, so it dosnt come into direct contact with the bowl, and just the the heat of the lighter to vaporize the thc then light up the bowl, eventually.
It takes patience, but oyu can taste the difference, and oyu know that you are not burning off all that costly thc.

that sounds like a damn good ideah. i love the minty flavor of vapes. ill try that tonight. maybe ill try to make leary crackers or whtever theyre called. just saw a neat thread on that.

lighting a bowl with a soldering iron is a TERRIBLY TERRIBLY bad idea unless the tip has NEVER been used for actual soldering.

Most solders (unless you are in CA) contain extremely toxic chemicals, and will tend to stick to soldering iron tips.

if you are going to do this please save yourself terrible headaches/emergency room visits and go buy a new $1.50-$2.00 tip for the iron
