Alright, I love Sublime, stoned or sober. They are my #1 favorite band, have great lyrics, and sound as good live as they do on their dubs. Not to mention they loved the bud. My favorite song is probably Badfish, and all of Brads acoustic stuff. Who's with me!!! Post your love for SUBLIME!! And if you've been to one of their concerts, share your story.

i love you. + 1 rep. i could stay in this forum for 36 hours speaking of sublime. great stoned, but loved them since the 5th grade. im gonna work on a "sublime== my top 3's" list right now.

live moment:
- i was going to school in new york, but in providence, RI visiting one of my friends who went to brown univ. we went to to go see Badfish (best sublime cover band EVER) at Lupo's in downtown providence. I was the total fifth wheel, so i just smoked a freaking bowl and made my way to the top and in the pit. i was there for the entire show, and i even got my nose broken to "Only Gonna die from our own arrogance.". best time of my life, and the band was so good. saw them again when they came to LA here just like a couple weeks ago.

habit-forming-sublime:
-every time "What I got" beginning riff starts to play i instictly grab my smokes so i can be lighting a cigarette in unison to when brad says "light me up that cigarette"

songs that change the way you look at shit:
--"KRS One." at the surface, it makes no fucking sense... but for some reason, whem in high... it seems to explain the world to me.
--"Garden Grove". really explains to me what it was like to chill around long beach in the summer smokin pot writing music smokin cigs and just hanging out. talks to me how shit really bugs you but you know what its shit and its gonna be there until you die.
--"Rivers of Babylon" . opens my eyes to what a big world this is and how there is probably some place deep in a river called babylon. helps me visualize how small we really are.

favorite songs to jam to:
--"santeria", "what i got", "krs one" "ball and chain" "romeo" "chica mi tipo."


I COULD GO ON FOR HOURS, BUT THAT IS THE BASIC.

Oh man, I love Sublime.

First cassette I ever got was their self-titled album when I was in I'm gonna say 5th grade. I've loved 'em ever since. I even developed a liking to this girl I worked with over the summer when I saw her Sublime tattoo. R.I.P Bradley

Truthfully, if I can get something off my chest, I absolutely hate Sublime. I think they are one of the most overrated underrated bands of all time. I can understand why people like them and have no qualms with those that do, but I just can not stand their music. I hate California surfer music and I find many of Sublime's songs to have no real difference from one another. It's as if they have turned the same song into 10 different singles. I do enjoy some of Sublime's songs, usually the ones with the deeper lyrics and actual meaning. But one song of theirs (cant remember the name, talks about getting raped in the ass in prison or some shit) just drives me up the fucking wall and every time it comes on the radio, I almost crash because I reach over so fast to change it.

Greatest Hits is the best song imo, I listen to the Gold album pretty much everyday.

you mean date rape... the one talking about some weird guy raping someone and going to jail. kinda warns girls against drinking with sleezy weirdos. and basically tells guys that raping ain't worth it in the only way some morons will get it.

They are a good band to say the least, but there is so much more out there. Sooo much good regaee/rock out there.

Try bands like Rebultion, Franti and Spearhead, Peter Tosh...and tons of others much better than sublime.
