| Marijuana Butter Made Easy
I have made it quite a few times... failed and succeeded and have decided to make a little tutorial. Though most people probably already know how to do this... I am making this for those that don't. You can use almost anything to make butter... from good buds to leaves and stems. I prefer the leaves and stems because the buds are good for smoking (if you have buds... try smoking them, its fun! ).This is how to make butter for those who dont own a crock pot. Step 1: Pull out your leaves/trimmings/buds ![]() Step 2: Pull out the butter (I used 3 cubes for this batch) ![]() Step 3: melt down the butter in a small pot (unless you are making a lot) directly over the flame Step 4: Add your MJ. ![]() Step 5: Once the butter is melted and the grass is in it, move the pot into a slightly bigger pot that has enough water in it to cover the smaller pot atleast half way up the sides, but not too high as you dont want water boiling up into your butter. ![]() Step 6: Lower the flame and cook the butter for many hours (i do it for atleast 4 hours... but the longer the better) Be sure to stir it every once in a while and add hot water to the double boiler when needed. ![]() Step 7: Take a reusable coffee filter (a cheese cloth or a regular coffee filter might work) and pour the butter through the filter. Smoosh the left over leaves and stuff to get as much butter as you can. P.S. I recommend making extra creme brules the night before to leave in the sink for this step. ![]() Step 8: Bask in your glory (by pouring the butter into a tupperware container) ![]() Step 9: close and freeze the butter ![]() Or if you want to bake with it right away, you can just pour it directly into your recipe. Here are a couple results from my trials... the one on the left wasn't cooked as long, but it was made with buds and the buds were left in it... the one on the right was made with leaves and trim and a little keef and was done like this tutorial. The green one on the right was stronger. ![]() Hope this helps. |

Holy shit dude. + rep. Good idea, the only thing is its not really making it easier like the title says, it's more thorough if anything, which isn't bad. I usually just make firecrackers and leave ground bud in, always worked for me, but I'm gonna have to try this..

I did some a couple days ago for 4 hours and made some candy bars with it... I took about an ounce of leaves/trimming and 3 cubes of butter... made the butter and mixed it with some peanut butter... then put the canni-peanut butter on some carmel and dipped it in chocolate. I made about 15 candy bars with this.. each about 3" inches long and once candy bar got me high for a good 5 or 6 hours. And eating it is way different than smoking it, to me its a weird almost hallucinating high. I like it obviously |

Or you can get Ghee or Coconut Oil and bake it in a crock pot for 2-3 hours on the low setting. Don't use normal butter because it's fats/oils are not very high compared to the high percentage of oils and fats in Ghee or Coconut Oil. As a comparison to smoking 2 tsp. of Ghee or Coconut Oil (you can make your own ghee with regular butter) 1.5g dank finely chopped (powdery) weed or 1g Hash finely chopped Put Ghee/Oil in crock pot (put it in a coffee cup inside the crock pot so it doesn't turn into a thin layer at the bottom) Put weed/hash in with Ghee/Oil Put on "Low" (80-90*C) "Might vary for different Crock Pots" Let sit for 2-4 hrs. This will give you 12 "servings" of small but potent cannabutter 1 Serving(s) for good buzz 2 Serving(s) for excellent high 3 Serving(s) for those times you just want to get really high Now the amazing part 1 Serving=.125g weed 2 Servings= .25g 3 Servings=.375g I did it just this Friday, but if it smells strong cooking in the Crock pot, then you could be vaporizing your weed by accident, or your Crock pot lid sucks :P *Kicks in about 1 1/2- 2hrs. later for me |

Sweet! Perfect timing. I finally have just about enough stems saved up to make some butter with. Did I read correctly that you can use trimmings? If that is true, I will definitely keep that in mind for the future... |

so, two questions, i'm planning on making some butter with either one ounce or two ounces of some cooking PK i'm getting at 65$/ounce, how many sticks of butter would you recommend for one or two ounces? and second, when you've got the butter cooking for a few hours, what temp? do you want it boiling? low heat? med? thanks!!
