So I have a bit of a problem. I have a four piece metal grinder and the second piece is stuck to the third. Meaning the bottom half of the part where you put bud in to be ground up is stuck to the part where the ground up bud goes.

Does anyone have any tips to loosen it up? I mean ... it is REALLY stuck.

Did you get the bud out cause then I'd let it sit in some warm water for a while to clean the kief out from the screws.
If there bud stuck in there I would clamp that bitch down and go at it with a money wrench, then be sure to clean out the kief in the screws.

Thanks for the response, but ... two things.

1) The bud is in there. More importantly ... a good amount of kief is in there.

2) I'm at school right now and have no access to wrenches, vices, etc...

the kief catch aint stuck right?
unscrew that take the top off and shake as much of the bud out as possible then go with option one

Ask someone else to get it for ya. Or use a iso alcohol soaked cotton swab when you get home and try to squeeze the iso into the creases and hope it dissolves some of your sticky kief.

it seems like the section with the keif catcher is fine, so take that out. for your last resort, you may need to use some wd-40 and then wash that thing like thers no tomorrow

This has actually happened to me before. I just hit the bottom of the grinder against a hard surface several times and it opened right up. Hope this works.

I agree. Go over the threading every so often with a swab soaked in iso to keep it from getting stuck again. My friend does this once a week and never has the slightest problem.

i think it might be mis threaded? i've never heard of kief making it stick.
this did happen to my friend awhile back.. i cut my hand all up thinking i could unscrew it when i was high. who knew grinders were so sharp...

Yeah, if you get it unstuck, be sure to go over the threads with a Q-tip, even rolled-up toilet paper, to get stuff out. Compressed weed will probably be sticky from the oils squeezed out, so be sure and keep it clean. Good luck!
