I dont mind being called a pothead... what really sucks is when people refer to MJ as "dope". If somebody called me a dope-head I'd probly beat there ass! WTF? Dope? Its not dope...when someone says dope I think of coke or crack, not herb. Ignorant BASTARDS!

it depends on who its coming from i think

if someone who is against smoking/doesnt smoke says it to you, they usually mean it as an insult
but if another stoner calls youa pothead its nothing at all really
or thats how it is for me atleast

how come theirs all kinds of names for frequent users of other things, like crack and alcohol, but ive never heard any for cigarette smokers? why is there nothing for one of the worst things out there?

i think its stupid for peopel to refer to you as a pothead just because you happen to smoke the cheeba. Some smokers love being called "potheads", but when i see this it makes me feel bad to knwo that someone likes their image to be based on something that shouldn't influence their reputation. Smoking is just something we do, it is not who we are. Therefore everyone should be themselves, and for those that love being labeled as "potheads", they should stop and think about whether or not they want a plant to be their persona.

and how do you intend to achieve this? people will still run around using it. so i'm just using it back but with a slightly different philosophy behind it.

my plan is to remove the teeth from the label, make it commonplace, friendly and basically, normalised.

our language is a very strange beast indead... through time we can change the meaning of words... just look at teh word "gay" how many face lifts has it had? or wicked? or cool? pothead needs to be, at the very least, comicalised.

i dont like to be called a pothead i dont know y but i think its a bad name for a smoker.im not a heavy smoker either i just smoke here and there jsut to losen up from work and everything else.So i call myself a smoker of pot lol.

I don't mind being called a pothead by potheads. It's when I'm being persecuted by my so-called friends for it that it bothers me. If they smoked, too, I'd laugh it off and go about my business.

back in high school we were playing football, my friend didnt "hussle it in" and some brown nose fag starts bitching at him, they got in a fight and the brown nose called him a "Fucking Pothead!!" infront of the coach and everyone, thats uncalled for.

Being called a pot head that way is a cheap shot, not that it would make me or any of us feal bad, but depending on whos around, it can be a bad thing, same as calling some fat chick fat, its just not nice, way too easy, try putting some thought into your insults.
