Im glad everyone seems to like it. Remember to not do it over an actual flame though, or else you will most likely light the pan on fire like one of the guys who tried this.

for those of you who ask if they can use small amounts of weed, yes, go ahead. Just dont use too much alchohal.

As for using anything else than 99% iso I bet you could but thats what i stick with.

And one last thing i've found that seemed to increase potency in my last batch, was feezing the jar you will be putting the alchohal in for an hour prior to your whole hash oil making session. I was just thinking how in butane the tube you use gets significantly colder and thats what seperates the THC from the bud so it seems like a good idea to me.

That is true, but mainly chlorophyll is the only other substance that is absorbed, hence the slight green color you see in the liquid. I like to soak it for a good 5-7 so getting a little bit of chlorophyll is inevitable. The butane process takes mcuh less than 2 minutes to extract the thc, and doesnt absorb any chlorophyll and that is why the product is reffered to as honey oil, since it is completely pure. Although I cant say the same about my hash oil I will back it up 100% that it will get you more ripped than bud.

and for your other question its hard to tell but i posted how much i used and how much we came out with in the tutorial. If your skeptical about it than dont make it, this stuff is not for everyone, just wait untill you have an opportunity to get some trimmings or cheap bud and then give it a try.

I have respect for your opinion since I have done alot of reading over your posts, but thats hash oil. It's an extracted form of thc, like hash, and its very oily, nothing hash like. Maybe if you want to get technical it's some quick wash iso hash oil but its not hash.

I was not trying to be a dick, I just wanted the method and true name of this Hash to have the correct title.

If I wanted to get technical I would tell you that it is gooey and sticky because you apply heat to evaporate the ISO, this melts the THC/Trichomes turning them into a resinous form of Hash, not an oil.

If you allow the ISO to evaporate without heat it will produce a product that has more resemblance to a Bubble Hash. Much easier to handle, smoke and holds more of the natural flavor.

I learned to do this Method the same way, But after years of experimenting with different techniques I learned a few tricks to making a High Quality QWISO.

No disrespect to your thread intended, I just wanted to help straighten out the facts. Good Luck Live long and Smoke well.

Yeah I get ya, I tride the same evaporating shit the first times I did this. It was amber ish colored and kinds crystal like, a little powdery. After doing this I just prefer it more, imo i get more stoned. And I like it instead of BHO just cause phsically the yeild is more, although Ide say it evens out because of BHO's potency.

I am probably going to do it over spring break which is starting tomorrow, and keep it for 420.
Is there a good way to store it, and does it lose any potency?

Additonally, about the high quality aspect.
Which do you think would produce a better end product, a gram of dank or an eighth of some good mids?

i would actually beg to differ. i did some QWISO with a half ounce not too long ago and let it evaporate. i did not cook it at all i just put a fan on it set it by a window for ventilation and i ended up with a finish product that looks exactly as what tokem ended up with. i did not apply any heat whatsoever.

if you just keep those trimmings in the iso for less time you'll get a better quality product less quantity though. i'm not hatin or anything, but either way its pretty good stuff.
