How to roll a joint, loads off pics and a video !!!

So i saw this thread that somebody named clearvoyant started. The thread was entiteled: how do u roll a joint. Ass i was just gonna roll one anyway i decided to document it. Voila the result.


first picture:

Ok on picture number one u see evrything u need. U got the leaves, the roach, the tobacco and my grinder. I use a box, prepare the joint on the lid and i use the actual box to dump my weed in after grinding.

Second picture:

Aha the main ingredient off the joint, the buds I have chosen NLX for this particular joint. I can tell u this stuff is extremely potent, as u can see from the picture there are thrichomes covered in fat crystals evrywhere.

Third picture:

This is the filter tip, the roach as u Americans call it. I always do 3 folds because it gives good stability and prevents anything from come through when u toke.

Fourth picture:

Now u grind the herb, dump it in the box. Lay your leaf with the sticky side faced towards the ground. This is important later on because i'm going to roll Hollandaise style as we call it here. Now distribute the tobacco evenly and in a triangular shape, this is very important because u'r gonna want u'r joint to be nice and conical.

Fifth picture:

Now u distribute the weed again in a nice cone ont the tobacco and then add another layer off tobacco. Do this nice and evenly and i can not stress the importance of a nice cone, this wil insure a smooth and evenly burning joint.

The actual rolling:

Now obviously i cant roll and take pictures at the same time so i filmed it.
This is basically what happens.
First off all u roll the joint in a nice conical shape. This should be easy if u distributed evrything good.
Now comes the big part u roll the stike side, wich should be upwards now, nice under the other paper.
Now u must look through the paper to see where u'r sticky side is. Lick the paper exactly where the sticky side is under it. Don't use to much saliva, use a little and rub it through, u will see the papers sticking toghether.
Bend the paper over by rubbbing over it and let it dry for a bit.

This is how it should look like if done properly.

Seventh picture:

The only thing u have left to do is tear off the excessive paper. This is not without danger, the important thing is to wait long enough until everything is dry. If u don't wait long enough u will tear the joint open and u will have to restart. Alternatively u can just burn it off but don't burn holes.

Nicely Done, I just cant see putting tabacco in a joint, but thats just me.

Yeah, putting tobacco in a joint seems really not done in the States.
Just the opposite off here in Belgium. Here the common conception is that rolling pure is a waste off weed.
First off all, pure weed burns irregular and too fast, whereas adding some tobacco makes everything burn smooth and even.
Second, a pure joint hits very harsh, so u can't take nice, big tokes or u will cough u'r lungs out. Wich is not nice because who can appreciate the good taste and effects off the herb when u'r coughing u'r lungs out.
Third, i have my doubts that this is true but loads off people around here claim that adding tobacco makes the joint burn at a better temperature wich should result in less tarr. In effect they claim that a pure joint is unhealthier than one with tobacco. I seriously doubt this, because tobacco contains nicotin wich is just poison.

I have to add that i always use rolling tobacco, the lightest variaty. This is because when u use cig tobacco u'r joint still tastes harsh and still burns irregular, so no point whatsoever in using cig tobacco.

I've been rolling joints for a long time, but never the way you roll. I tried it last night with some purp and it burnt really fast, I guess due to the only one layer of paper around the joint. I do like thou that your not smoking as much paper. Honestly pure joints never make me cough and Im smoking some dank shit, I would think the tabacco would make me hack a lung up for sure. I love MJ but cant stand tabacco because it hurts my throat when I inhale it. I would be down for trying your style thou, but I can bet a pure Joint would be my fave, but thanx for the new rolling technique man! Good info! how do you get your tip to stay together while you roll?

Don't get me wrong, i hate tobacco and i don't smoke, never have smoked.
Weird isn't it, that i roll my joints differntly just to avoid some paper but i do use tobacco, wich seems like a big crime for u guys
Anyhow it's because off the fact that evryone here rolls with tobacco i have never known it any other way. Wheras with u guys everybody seems to roll without. Damn i'm probably addicted to nicotine without realising.

To anwser u'r question, i rol the tip between my index finger and my thumb rapidly while gently pressing to get a nice round shape. Right before i'm gonna roll i tak out my filter and repeat this proces. The filter wil only expand a minimu while u'r rolling cause u are pressing it with u'r right hand. When u roll up and lick, the filter will expand a bit making everything fit snuggly, i also recommend letting the filter stick out about 2 mm when u roll, that way when everything is rolled and u tap u'r joint on the table afterwards everything will fit perfectly and u wont have paper hanging over u'r filter.

i would never put tobacco in a joint. ive also never used a roach on it. nobody around here does that. i do take pride in my joint rolling though.

I can definatly relay to no tobacco, but no roach why would u wanna do that ? Don't u get tobacco in u'r mouth, don't u brun u'r lips and does that toke smoothly ?
