I have always wondered if some lingo might change to where ever you are. I heard 'dime bag' everywhere for years until I finaly decided to ask what the hell it was, and found out that a dime bag was a gram bag of pot, and a nickel bag is a half gram. I am wondering if this is the same for anyone else here (where you live). An eigth is 3.5 grams, a quarter is 7 grams, half ounce is 14 grams and an ounce is 28 grams (technicaly it is a TINY bit over 28 grams, but no one complains).

When buying use measurments in grams. 1/4 oz.(7g.), 1/2 oz.(14g.), oz.(28g.), 1/4 pound also known as a QP(4oz.). I always buy a 1/4 pound at a time. Try not to buy less than 1/4 oz> at a time. Anything les and you are probably goin to get ripped off.

yea around here (Massachusettes) a nic (nickel bag) is 5 bucks worth, a dime is 10 bucks worth, an 8th is 3.5 grams, around 30 bucks, a quarter is 7 G's, about 65, a half ounce is 14 G's, around 120-130 bucks, all these prices and amounts are for KB by the way

Around here those are usually the rules, but there are also another set of rules, like:
a nickel bag (.5g) = a skinny joint a dime bag (1.0g) = a skinny blunt I've also heard dub sacks (2.0g) can actually be from 1.9-2.2g. But i guess it really depends on your dealer.

Where I am nickel/dime/dubs dont go by weight its how much you pay for a certain quality/amount. Like a nickle bag would get you anything worth $5. Nickle Bag = How much you can get for $5 - Pretty uncommon to buy a nicklebag Dimebag = How much you can get for $10 Dub = How much you can get for $20 An eigth = 1/8 Ounce = ~3.5 grams A quarter = 1/4 Ounce = ~7 grams and you can do the math from there.
