Heat Gun Vaporizer help!!!!

I was thinking of buying a heat gun to try out this method of vaporizing, since the box-types have failed me. however, the "vaproizer bowls" that they sell on vriptech are too expensive. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the heat gun on a normal bowl in a bong and still produce those big shots of vapor I've been hearing about. A good heat gun is already too expensive in itself, and bongs aren't cheap. why do i need to purchase all this extra bullshit?

Or could I just do without buying a bong and just suck the vapors straight out of the bowl while it's being blasted by the heat gun?

Who said bongs aren't cheap? I have a foot tall, slide (no carb), all pyrex bong and only cost $35.
