Ideal downpipe length for this bong? [PICS]

I bought a new bong and recently I broke my downpipe. So I need replacement. I don't remember how long the original downpipe was because I threw it away. How do I measure the ideal downpipe length for my bong?

Is it true that it's harder to pull out the smoke with longer downpipe and with more water? If you have the same bong, please suggest the ideal length measuring from top of ground joint.

my bad I guess this wont work since you dont have a stem to measure, maybe email customer service and ask personally to find out if they have any of those same style in stock to measure, maybe they all have the same length

Well I could put a wooden stick or whatever instead of stem so I can measure it. I threw out only the part of tube but I have a joint which seems to be 14.5 in diameter. What's the big deal? The point is I don't know if there would be any difference if I buy like 11, 11.5, 12, 12.5, 13cm... etc stems. The length difference is so small and most of them would fit!

Let's say I fill the water half the height of carb hole, so then how much of stem should be submerged?? That's my question.

well, if u got a longer stem, and filled the water higher, it would be slightly harder pull, but small enough only a wimp would notice, but u could always just fill it up less if u get a longer stem. Comprende?
