It is just like lifting the downstem out but it's a nice big handle to do it with. It also helps to keep it steady so that I'm not banging the downstem around the joint or anything.

I do occasionally pull the bowl out but I prefer to clear the whole chamber with fresh (not pulled through water) air. I also clear the downstem since I don't pull it all the way out. It's all a matter of preference - I don't think there's a way it's "meant to be" done.

dude

first, nice new piece

second, its called a keck clip, and youve got it all wrong. the bigger opening attaches to the lip of the gong joint and the smaller opening goes around the diffuser. it prevents you from pulling out the diffuser, just the bowl comes. refer to this pic i just took. the bong in the foreground is a 24" lux.

Ah. I stand corrected.

Well, either way, I use it on the lip of the downstem. Like I said - clearing the piece with fresh air is a lot more pleasant.

the reason keck clips are good is they prevent one of your inexperienced friends from pulling out the diffuser and breaking it accidentally. not trying to call you inexperienced, but i am trying to say youre gonna have a break sooner or later.

I want the exact same thing as what you got, but i want it to be 18". Does anyone know how much an 18" Lux Scientific would be with the single tree perc, splash guard, and ice notches?

I'm always careful with my glass and I don't have any friends that I smoke with so I doubt I'll have a break.

I've used my Illadelph for over a year now without any breaks.

I'm going to try putting the clip on the gong joint where it's supposed to go and try to get used to smoking without lifting out the stem. Maybe I'll get used to it and while I am careful, it'd still be better to only pull out the stem during cleaning.

nice ice notches... how many cubes can you fit? 2? probly more like 1
by the way whats the point of paying 300 bucks for a GonG when u just gonna put plastic on it? Really i like rubber grommit bongs the best, the bowls slider easier... that are hella cheap... they rip just as hard.... and who the hell needs 3-4 percs? seriously? pussies? you do realize the extra percs are just swallowing up your thc and creating more drag :/ My dad has smoked for 20+ years. i asked him about roor he says they are just overpriced glass tubes with a name. i think they are cool but def not worth the moneys.. and all the lux/toro/roor/phx all them just a rip!

I take it you are a noob to smoking or are just retarded because you said that a rubber slider bong is comparable to a roor. Stop hatin, it is not your money so why do you give a fuck.
