I had many questions on this myself and could not find a vivid answer. SmokeNtoke provided me with a clear answer to my questions and i figured that i would make a guide to help other city members out. So you have been wondering how to hell people get such professional close ups of the nicest pickups on GC, and want to show off some skills yourself? Here’s an easy step-by-step guide on how to get some really nice close-ups.

Step 1: Get yourself a nice decent digital camera with a Macro setting on it.

Step 2: Now that you have yourself a camera with a macro setting on it, place the camera a few centimeters or inches (depending on how good of a camera you bought) up to your bud.

Step 3: *Important part* Let your camera focus in so you dont get a blurry shot and either keep your hands really still, or use something to place it on so you dont get a hazy/out-of-focus picture like the one below.

Step 4: Now take your shot! Take numerous photos and upload the ones you like. An easy site to host quickly without an account is http://imageshack.us

Step 5: Take the links you copied and paste them in your own GC thread!!

I'm sorry I dont have a link but on instructables there's a guide to making a dedicated macro lens out of binoculars. Someone find it, and this would definitely make sticky.
