Salt water for bong water

I'm trying a little experiment. I boiled 3 cups of water with about 5 ounces of salt. After about 5 minutes of stirring and boiling, I poured the salt water in a container and put it in the freezer.

The idea is salt water has a much lower freezing point than water. When you can't disolve any more salt into the water, the freezing point is about -6F. I don't know how cold my freezer can get though.

You think it'll work, making a fat bong rip much cooler?

That is disgusting. It will probably make the smoke taste like salted ass.

I guess tell us how it goes, i'll try it if you say it worked, i just fear it would taste like salt... eww

i think it will work i had an argument the other day that you can use practicly any liquid in a bong and not notis a diffrence,i almost poured X-mas fruit alco-crap in my bong just to prove the point.

In theory it works. Too bad alcohol absorbs THC, since you could use hard liquor stored in the freezer. You could bring it down to like -10°C. Not to mention it mgith tast good mixed with spiced rum or whiskey.

you can definately taste the flavor of the bong water(liquid) that you use. one of my favorites was using lemon flavored carbonated water, tasted delicious and the carbonation gave it a nice lil zip to it that was nice.

be careful not to supersaturate the saltwater and thenf reeze it, because then it would form 1 giant salt crystal and probably break your bong

A friend of mine used to use a mix of water and pure pomegrant (spelling?) juice, it usually gave the hit a bit of "tartness" to it.

I trying to think of a polarized liquid that is non-toxic and low freezing point. That would make a good subzero cooling liquid for bongs. Hmmmmmmm

Maybe sugared water would do the same, but taste better than salt. Try to supersaturate some sugared water.

i've used salt water before. it gets REALLY cold, and actually you can't really taste it.

It's been 17 hours and it hasn't froze. The freezer is cranked as high as it'll go. I do see some new salt crytals that clumped up.
That's good, in that it means the water couldn't hold anymore salt, right? I can strain those pieces out no problem.

I wonder water sugar water's freezing point is, and if it would react at all with the THC.

On a side note, I've tried much stranger combonations. Probably the strangest, most involved one, was the most effective I've ever tried.
It was a 3 chamber bong. The first small chamber was filled with hot lemon juice. The next was a water/baking powder solution. The last was just water and ice. The idea was the hot acidic liquid made the smoke less harsh. The it went through the baking powder water chamber, which neutralized the acid. Then the third was just to make sure everything was filtered out. Just thought I'd share that one
