Everybody thinks that if drugs were legal, then usage would go up. Heroin, meth, and cocain are horrible drugs, in fact I believe that people who sell those drugs should be arrested for murder, because that's what they're doing; killing people. But having those drugs remain illegal hurts everybody. People don't not use drugs because they are illegal; people don't use them because they know how deadly and destructive they are. If drugs were legal, would you use heroin or meth? No, because they are scary things; most people wouldn't use them if they were PAID to do it. People think everybody else except them are stupid, but that's not the case.

And I remember reading that same thing from a site I found on StumbleUpon. I think many of us found it the same way, ha ha.

Whoever origanlly put this arguement together is 100% correct.

ALL drugs should be legalized, and the hundreds of billions of dollars saved can be put back into the system to actually help people with drug problems, not send them to jail.

Theres some things that you say that make sense op. But there are more things absolutely absurd. Just to state one "marijuana is not addicting." Now this can vary person to person, for me cigarettes are not addicting, but in reality for most people they are.

I know when im not high or smoking weed its all i want to do though, but i have enough self control not to.

Also no deaths caused by marijuana? Sure marijuana has never killed anybody, its only a plant its not lethal. But tobacco has never killed anybody either its just a plant. And alcohal never killed anyone, unless maybe they drowned.

Its the people who smoke marijuana ciggarettes and drink alcohal that die or kill.

You need to only take out the facts that are solid and make absolute sense and present them, good read though

What about alcohol poisoning, there are hundreds of cases a year of people dying after drinking too much, even over one night. And tobacco is directly responsible for millions of deaths through all the different diseases it causes. The point is marijuana has never been directly linked to a death.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts, although a lot of the arguements are sensible, the extent of change that you think you'd see is really stretched...to honestly believe that the country or world would suddenly clean up thanks to heroine, meth, and crack heads legally being allowed to get high and walk the streets is ignorant.

I want certain drugs illegal, because I honestly believe there is NO good in them at all and the world would be better off if they were wiped off its face. I've seen too many of my friends OD on pills to not say anything in this thread =/

i think all drugs should be legal, but some controlled more then others. i dont think you should be able to walk into your local wal-mart and buy a box of meth pills, but i dont think the government should be able to arrest you for it. addiction needs to be treated as a disease, not a criminal act. like some kind of system where you can get harder drugs, cheap and easy, but are required to be educated about the drug and its possible effects. but you should be able to walk into the gas station and buy a 20 sack of some fire.
