High School AP's

I am a 18 y/o senior in high school. Our AP's (assistant principals) like to walk around our school and up and down the nearby alleys looking for any suspicious activity.

i am wondering if it is just a school AP and they find you on public property doing something illegal, if you can be held accountable for it in the school?

from my understanding, unless the school's resource officer is there, they cannot demand a search in the alley because they have no authority. is this correct? sometimes they demand that they smell your hands too.

this summer, our school installed security cameras. i read up on them and i found that they have to be on school property and directed towards school property.

should i be in the clear if i do not do anything illegal on the school grounds?

if its on school time then depending on what your school board says then yes.

even if its not on school grounds, it could still be in the school zone, which in most states will double any charges you could face. Better just to find a better spot. I used to blaze up before school in my car in the parking lot with a buddy, until he didnt visine/spray up one day and got expelled when they found a nug in his pocket.

i do know that if you get in shit outside of school you can suspended/expelled.. around here at least

I know our school has suspended kids for fighting outside of school, and not during school hours. It depends on the school. Just cruise an L before homeroom.

i've had the same shit happen. videos of the fight really killed it.

but yea i say just box your car if you got one otherwise just roll blunts/jays and walk to school. a nice long walk faded is really great.

we dont carry anything on us in the school at all either.

off school property is your time.

if you subsequently get busted AT school due to an overzealous staff member seeing you, thats a different matter. they'd have to bust you with product on school grounds.

its like how other school policies arent enforceable anywhere, i.e. a staff member shouldnt be coming up to you in public trying to enforce the school's dress code.

where i used to go to school in dallas, if you were anywhere on school property then you could be subjected to a pat down and empty pocket search at anytime. hell the cop at our school was a fucking bitch, she would take up mine and my friends cell phones and read through the texts and address book. hell one of my 'friends' (used to be good friends, but turned into a stealing coke head and fucked lots of ppl over) at the time got sent to Juvi for having a text on his phone saying "can u sell me 10 bars l8r" that some girl sent to him earlier in the morning. i was wanting him to fight that shit because he wasn't caught with any xanax at all, and he never even sold it to her yet, but he just said fuck it cuz he was tired of the principles and the cop there always treating him like shit and went to Juvi.

my best suggestion for you is just to not carry anything with you at school, you never know when they will have k9 there or when they would want to randomly search you. but lots of schools are different, some are for the most part pretty chilled on majority of things and others want to expel every person who's had a sip of beer. wish mine wasn't so strict = (

if its not on school hours and you get busted by a school figure then no. but they could still narc you out to your parents and police to bring down punishment. unless you go to a private school and wear a uniform them yes.

Damn. You guys make my school seem so laid-back. I used to talk to my teachers about smoking all the time. One of my teachers even criticized my joint rolling when I first started rolling them. He was the shit.

I went to an uptight Church of Christ highschool and wrote a junior AP English paper about why herb should be legal. Pretty sure my teacher agreed too

it doesnt matter if your not on the school the "school zone" extends im not sure how far around the school. and if its during school time and say you were to leave school w/o permission drive the next down over and get busted due to the fact you were "supposed" to be on school grounds and left when you shouldnt they could still fuck u over for that even though the fact you got caught you`d be fucked anyway if that makes any sense

when i went to school, if you got in trouble outside of school, they could suspend/expell you as they saw fit....my boy back in the day, got busted with a quarter of mids, and 8-ball of some fine yayo, and a 30 rack driving to a party...they kicked him out the next day, and he actually ended up going to jail anyway....

id say ask for a copy of your school rules regarding everything...i dont think they wont give it to you, i mean thatd be fucked
