The one in Toronto on Queens street. They are taking money from Marc Emery saying he stole the name "Cannabis Culture."

Who cares. Thats not 1/10 as fucked up as when Marc Emery posted the names and addresses of seed breeders on his forum because they called him out for not paying them for the seeds they fronted to his company. Not to mention that he had sex with his friends wife while his friend was in jail and then bragged about it on his forum. Marc Emery is a piece of shit and he probably did steal cannabis culture. He is already known for being a shifty businessman, snitch, and all around crappy guy. This support Marc Emery bs makes me sick. There has to be someone else from the old days of OG who knows what Im talking about.

theres alot of different views on this guy. all in all he pretty much seems to be a guy who wants it legal but hes also very shady and very persuasive

i feel bad for what hes dealing with. its pretty shitty our country has to extradite some guy from canada to feel good about the "war on drugs"

Although I loved mark emerys standpoint on fighting for cannabis legalisation, but I think the accusation that The Friendly Stranger is stealing money from his legal battle is obscene. If I were planning to open a headshop that was upscale and wanted to look legitimate I would call it a Cannabis Culture Shop too. Simply because he has a magazine that contains some of the same words as their shop, he believes that they are criminals that are piggybacking on his success.

I happen to love the Friendly Stranger for its service, selection and overall niceness. I don't like it when people (yes even Marc Emery) start a stupid fight over two little words: "Cannabis Culture". Perhaps one day someone will realise that Mad Magazine has the word mad in it, and declare that it loses money every time the word MAD is written, or used in the name of a business.

Emery is just scrambling for money and will stop at nothing in order to raise enough cash to fight off the DEA.

I've watched both videos, but Im not going to take sides. Personally, I think ya'll should shit down, smoke a bowl, and work together on this. Thats what this whole sub-culture is about, right?

The hippie era was about one thing: peace. So why is that different now? Dont dispute petty differences on who gets to use which words for their name or some bullshit like that. I think ya'll have a lot to go gain from one another.

But Im leaving that up to you. Personally it saddens me to see fellow stoners bickering over minor things such as this.

Maybe he don't like slander against his business. If you ever own a business someday, wouldn't you defend it if accused of such things?
