I saw traffic the other night and I thought that it was the worst fucking movie I ever saw. It associated weed with hard drugs like cocain and heroin. No wonder that so many people see weed as bad as the freakin devil! The only moral of the story is: do weed, fuck hard drugs. god im pissed........

no the movie was alright but its the message it's giving! it doesn't separate MJ from the real body and mind damaging shit like heroin and cocaine.

Maybe, but not likely. Most of the cancer from cigarettes is
caused by the radioactive fertilizer used to grow tobacco.

But yeah, marijuana smoke still has carcinogenic compounds
in it. But, I have yet to hear of lung cancer caused just by
marijuana smoking.

most big drug carltels make a large portion of their money from trafficking weed.... sad, but true

just because there's 400 chemicles in weed doesn't mean it's bad for you. there's a lot of chemicles in a lot of the stuff people use in their daily lives that don't do much (if any) harm.

also, the 20 cig thing is bull. mid-grade weed has about 25% more tars than an equal amount of tobacco... and also, there's evidence of THC blocking the carcinogens from actually causing cancer.

UCLA did a study on people who smoked weed heavily for 8 years... the people tested showed very little signs of lung damage.

yeah, i hear ya badboy... what do you expect from a typical big budget hollywood bs movie with bs big names. that movie was less about the drugs and way more about the drugs trade and the drug war... it did show some very good points i didnt expect it to... there is NO way of removing the "drug problem from our streets", its an impossable battle that the US government pumps billions.. ahem, sorry... TRILLIONS (about 5 trillion by my count since the reefer madness days) into "fighting" the drug war and cause every other country in the world to do the same or suffer the loss of their support on the international market, and if your country goes too far they'll fuck you up and spray your children with poison. just look at all the palava that went on when Holland wanted to try a new tack on drugs by a method of tollerance on cannabis... i think they impossed sanctions and applied all sorts of pressures. and what about the poor people of nations like columbia, and many many others. ((columbia is just the one that sticks in my mind because i've seen so many pics of deformed kids from that region from all the spraying of cocoa crops))

I don't really think Traffic made an association between weed and harder drugs. Even though the kids used pot and harder drugs, I don't think that they were trying to show a link or suggest anything other then the fact that everyone is succeptible to the lure of drugs. Arguments are made both sides all throughout the movie, and I thought it was an excellent movie.

In my opinion, the single best thing you can do with your computer is to "steal" everything you can. The sooner we drag these assholes into the twenty first century, the better.
