The Stoner's Swiss Army Knife

Evening fellow blades, just thought I'd do a quick writeup on one of my favorite stoner utilities: the pipe tool.

Er, hold on a tick... *bubble bubble* Right then! Where were we? Oh yes, the pipe tool.

Made in Czech Republic

Three tools, many uses

Let's go from left to right, shall we? First on the lineup is the scraper: a small spoon with tapered edges. This bad boy is useful for bowl maintenence primarily. It very effectively scrapes resin into a ball in when you find yourself in times of drought and can also easily dig out those pesky glass screens when they clog the bowl so you don't get gunk under your fingernails. It's elongated spoon shape allows you to conform a metal screen so tight to the bowl that it will stay in without resin. Also very effective at scraping metal screens clear when they become clogged, thus increasing the lifespan of the screen.

Next is the poker. This little guy is great for all sorts of things. When rolling joints I use it to make sure the ends are packed well, or when a joint is not burning evenly/hitting well because it's overpacked you can jam it through the mouth end about half way up the spliff. This will make it hit like a champ and even out the burn due to the increased airflow. For those of you with a penchant for homemade pieces out there it comes in especially handy. Apples, potatoes, oranges, tomatoes... you name in, this can turn it into a pipe. I don't recommend the tomato, though; that was very messy. This end can also be used to pierce a hole through a cap for you gravity bong and waterfall users out there.

Last but certainly not least, the tamper. Use this tool whenever you want to pack a fat bowl. My bubbler holds about .25g of loosely ground up weed for a full bowl. Should I utilize this to pack the bowl tight I can stuff .4 in there. Very useful for when there are many heads in rotation. Warn the partakers to barely flick the lighter, though, especially for dank! Since the bowl is packed so tightly it will cherry like a motherfucker, giving such a big hit as to bring tears to what fool whosoever torches the bowl. Also very useful for giving blunts an even packing to ensure an enjoyable even smoking.

This tiny powerhouse of a tool has proven itself near essential to have. It makes so many of those constant smoker annoyances a breeze to deal with. Hell, with a little rearranging we have ourselves...

Hit it 'til it's gone!

a nice roachclip! The long handle makes it especially easy to pass around in a moving vehicle. Personally, I carry mine on a detachable valet keychain for constant access and easy use:

Always by my side

"Oh, but where can I get one of these fabulous devices mister hashaman," you cry. Go hit up your local tobacconist, or nearly anyplace that sells cigars and pipe tobacco. Most big towns should have one or two. You'll probably find them displayed near the register. They're about $2 USD and last for-fucking-ever. Great gifts for your other stoner friends. Well, that concludes this stoned writeup. Just wanted to get the word out to my fellow blades about The Stoner's Swiss Army Knife.

Thats the sweetest thing ever. Mainly my stoner kit includes index cards and paperclips.

But, this thing is nuts.

The only other improvement i could think of would be a pipe itself in the tool.

Man I'm old. Ten years ago, one of my high school friends discovered the "pipe tool" after inheriting one from his grandpa.

It's since been shot down, for one GOOD reason:

You don't need a resin-coated thingy on your keychain. Yeah, the spoon is cool, but if you're planning on doing "bumps", you're on the wrong forum.

Buy a 12-pack of Bic pens for $2, and you have a scraper (cap), a tamper (bottom of pen), and a poker (ink tube... or pocket some paper clips). And Bic pens are DISPOSABLE. Love'em and leave'em. You have eleven more pens in your glove compartment.

Pipe-tools are "paraphernalia". You have been forewarned.

(Not to be a downer here, I'm just encouraging some creativity

PennLaxPlayer: But then how could you use the tool on the attached pipe

alivfrazierI: '93 Dodge Ram

Subway_Toker: Pipe World in Austin, TX.

Segue: You just have to wipe it down with a paper towel to remove resin buildup. I smoke a tobacco pipe as well so I have an alibi

Everyone else: Keep smokin'

this is what i carry around as my pocket knife the blade on it is sharp as hell its got tweezers for roach clips. most of the things on it can be used quite well to scrape resin and a knife and scissors can always be quite helpful. sorry the pic is sideways
a guy my mom used to work with gave it to her and ive always been the one to use it.

Weedman90.OG 01: Hrm, I've never heard it called that or seen it used with cocaine before, and I know a fair few users. Google seems to agree. I just don't see any other utility other than the obvious using the small spoon for bumps...

shackleford: Those things rule! I used to use mine for this purpose, but it had too many sharp corners that scratched my glass
