Rolling - Machine? Bamboo? Freehand?

So i figured this would be a good thread.

I am an AVID joint smoker... its basically all i smoke, so im wondering who rolls what ways?

I personally used freehand when i first started smoking, but was never too good at it
Then i went too the joint rolling machines, which are really easy, but can only make one size
Then finally, i have found my one true love. The Bamboo rolling mat... i can get full joints from start to finish done in about 30 seconds.

So what's your pick and why?

Im a hardcore bamboo rolling mat guy. Its always perfect, any size i want... and NEVER canoes

As well, how do you feel about tobacco in your joints?
As an ex-smoker... ilove tobacco in them, i put half tobacco half pot, and love the flavour

Never actually met anyone who owns a mat, but I think I'd like to get one.

the bamboo mats are godly... if you can roll half decent by hand... you can roll a killer joint using the mat everytime after your first time...

they cost me $2 at my local headshop, and are worth EVERY penny...

Hell, I see no reason not to pick one up.... Even if I think it's useless, it can make a nice cheap gift.

EDIT: Just to give me an idea, it's used in much the same way as a dollar bill, no?

In my opinion, in order to claim to roll awesome anythings, it should be rolled free-hand. Anything else is just cheating.

No offense to anybody who rolls with any sort of apparatus.

freehanding is style points i think.

its a skill you should know how to use. in case of emergencies. like zombies.

you should also have a crowbar.

I don't think tobacco is that bad, in fact I like it in my joints so I can smoke more and not get absolutely destroyed. But tobacco...that shit'll kill me one day

Papers, Marijuana, Filter, Bamboo Mat. Tobacco (optional), Grinder (optional)

Pick up the bamboo mat, and roll the sides up into themselves, making a little crater

Optional - Sprinkle tobacco along the bottom of the bamboo mat (i also fill the end with the tobacco so i dont ever have "roaches".. its nice, cause i never get the burnt fingers

Grind (or cut up) up Marijuana

Sprinkle ground up pot into bamboo mat, if you have used tobacco before make it a 2:1 (pot:tobacco).

Pick up sides of the mat, and fold them together (you want to wrap the mat around the pot)

Now you want to roll it around, just like you would a normal joint. Then roll the mat upwards so the contents is at the bottom

Crack it open - take a little peak

Insert paper with the glue facing UP and TOWARDS YOU

Roll the bottom of the mat up. When it gets to the glue, lick the glue

I dont really understand the concept, but Im sure I will run across a mat sooner or later and it will be explained to me.

I personally have been rolling freehand for about 2 years and never roll one without a compliment on its quality. It makes me feel really nice, plus I get to hit it first (according to stoner ettiqute). Freehand also gives you the satisfaction of getting high off of something that you put time and alot of effort into.
