New way to roll a joint...

Aloha friends! I'm new to the forums... Looks like a great place

Anyways, I REALLY suck at rolling joints / blunts. I kept trying to find the best way to roll a good joint that was EASY... and to no avail. I first started out trying to pre roll the joints, then load them up and pack it down, but the papers would come rolled, or they would fold over, something would always go wrong... and when I roll with my fingers, it's far from smokeable. Needless to say, my pipe gets alot of usage... but I just don't get the 'fun' from smoking a nice joint... ever.

Well this new method I came up with (maybe it has been done before?) starts with pre-rolling the paper...

But here's what you need:

-mcdonalds or other straw... size is your preference.
-thin paper for rolling
-pot of course...
-thicker paper for the roach

Here are the detailed steps:

1. Cut your thin paper to about the size of 2.5-3" x 1-1.5"

2. Cut your thick paper about .5-1" x 2-3" for the roach.

3. Roll the paper to a diameter smaller then the inside of the straw, and stick the paper inside the straw.

4. Hold about half an inch of the paper out of the bottom of the straw and roll the thicker paper so it's smaller then the diameter of the rolled paper inside the straw and stick the roach in there, then rotate the roach inside the straw and paper,opposite to the way it was rolled so it will enlarge and get stuck in there.

5. Then look at the straw and see where the rolled paper comes up to... with about half an inch sticking out the bottom, cut the straw about a quarter of an inch from the top of the rolled paper.

6. You now have a rolled paper with a nice solid roach, supported by a rigid plastic straw. You can now scoop up your shake with the straws plastic end without destroying the paper. Scoop a little bit, then get an allen wrench smaller then the inside of the paper to pack down the shake each time. I'm not the expert, but I packed mine firm but not 'too firm'

7. Once you get it almost to the top, you can push the roach end all the way into the straw so the other end sticks out about a quarter of an inch, then you can twist off the end real tight, and snip off the excess with scissors.

After that, your basically done. I pulled my joint out of the straw and licked up the edge of the paper to solidify it... then I slid it back down into the straw. It's solid enough to carry in my pocket, and doesn't smell as bad as a fully exposed joint, and when i'm ready to smoke it, I can just slide it out of the straw, and light up!

but it looks you're just pre-rolling a tube with a straw and packing it?


packing a joint takes way too long. id be so tired of packing it by the time I was done that I wouldn't even feel like smoking it. Id rather just twist one up real fast... but if you dont have the fingers for it I guess whatever works best for you. It took me a long ass time to roll decent.

when i did suck at rolling.. id never buy rolling machines or pack or anything. id just practice practice. buy a bag of pipe tobacco and start rolling if you wanna learn. i pretty much told myself that if I didnt roll it with only my hands, i wouldnt smoke it. im glad i did now.

^ you've got the idea.

welcome to the city skatar. although that method works im sure, you should still practice with your fingers! buy some zigzags they roll well.

Thanks for the responses guys, very interesting. I should learn to roll with my fingers... but those rolling machines look really interesting, and fun! I guess you could say i'm into the techincal stuff, and rolling with fingers just seems a little boring to me. Personally, the harder I work for something, the more I enjoy it... so if I spend 25 minutes packing a joint, I really enjoy the experience of smoking it.

you should probably by a roller, cause packin joints takes forever, and people dont like to be sittin there for half an hour waitin to smoke.

xD nah, that's basically just wasting time. Plus, rolling is something that takes skill so it's actually more rewarding to use your skills to roll a joint with your hands and smoke it. I love me a nice tight handrolled joint.

all my joints are back rolled now, its the perfect method imo, just use the king size papers, my joints are pretty fat and im able to remove at most 50% of the paper. just look it up.

That's quite interesting! I just tried to smoke that joint that I made, needless to say it didnt work. I packed it to hard, but the first joint I rolled was great. Sure... ill give rolling with my fingers a go. Just wondering, do any of you have experience making icewater hash using the blender and coffee strainers?

I like using Bible paper to roll, because I'm an atheist.

I'll put a regular amount of weed in there and roll it up. I can't lick the paper though, so I get small piece of tape to close it, then run my lighter down the joint a few times. This makes it hard, and it won't unroll. Then I'll pack it from the top, and twist it off.

I'm real new to rolling joints, but this works fast and well.

Smoking bible paper constantly can't be good for you.

1. The ink.
2. Thicker paper, chemical treatments.

and a piece of tape? Smoking tape probably isn't a good idea either.
