just my two cents but the one that has a beaker bottom sounds like its a volumetric flask which are ridiculously expensive. generally $200 for the cheapest. instead of taking that much money from your school and possibly breaking it when you drill it. just come up with the money yourself and buy a real bong.

Any more tips or advice I should have before I take the drill to this thing? I might try it out today. If I go slow and keep it cool with water it should go all well correct?

How much would a graduated cylinder like this go for on ebay? I looked briefly but I couldnt find any for sale.

Not enough to be worth selling to buy a nice bong. I'd say $20 or so.

If it was from a high school science class, I highly doubt that anything too harmful has been in that glass, and if something has, im 200% sure it's been cleaned thoroughly by the teacher. You shouldn't have to worry about getting sick. Plus, it's GLASS. Harmful chemicals aren't gonna soak into it.

You really need to figure out the size of the slide you're going to use. On this lil bong I have here, the grommit is roughly 1 1/4 cm. They sell 12mm slides, so you just want to make the hole slightly bigger.

If the hole works and you don't mess the glass then make sure you buy a slide an extra piece, so you can remove the bowl as a carb

it actually depends. if your school offers ap chemistry they use a bunch of harmful chemicals, sometimes in strong concentrations. and most of the time the teachers dont wash anything, they let their teacher aids do it. i should know, and if their anything like me, they dont wash them until before they make another solution.

so make sure you wash the fuck out of that thing, a nice granular detergent would work very nicely

Just use drill bits made for glass or tile and keep the area lubricated with petrolium jelly. I wouldn't put it under water...that seems like kind of a hassle.
