Computer Question, please help
I took my old scanner from my old computer and installed the software and hooked it up to my new computer but it dosent work. It says something like kinda find scanner please check cables and power or some shit. The cables are connected fine and the power is fine cause the light on the scanner is on. Anyone got any idea what the problem might be ? I wanna start scannin in my weed to share with you guys. Any help is apperciated, thanks

You probably need a patch. I had to go and download an XP patch to run my scanner. Just go to the Microsoft website and you should find a patch for your particular scanner. When I switched to XP, I had to do it for my scanner, my printer and my fax machine.

A question on the forum I can maybe help with, as my knowledge of grass is inferior to most of the other visitors of this forum.

What port does it connect into? If its USB try another one.
Does it say it works in windows XP? If you cant see it, check the manufacturer website and check if there have been any software/driver updates. Actually, check that either way. Maybe one of these will help?

I just hooked up vaporizer and getting some thc for first time in few days. So my informations base may be diminishing quickly.

Did you use the correct drivers for your operating system?

Also, check to see if the cables are damaged. Even a small nick can disable a computer cable.

yeah. you might want to update your scanner drivers to xp....theres not much for me to say as it has been covered. if you need help w/ software, im good w/ that....i'm not too much of a hardware head.

STILL NEED HELP
i went to the companys site and couldn't find anything i dunno where to look at microsoft.com...............................my scanner is made by Umax it is a Astra 1220U , if anyone can give me a direct link to what i might need to download id greatly appreciate it. Also im running xp pro if that helps. Thanks
