We all have had it... bloodshot eyes from smokin. It's a dead giveaway unless your lucky to find someone gullible enough to believe your contacts are bothering you (if you wear them). Even then... Sometimes your eyes can get to the point where they just turn a shade of red instead of bloodshot... and then what?

Well, I have a few friends that a VERY active wether they work out every day, go running twice a day, or what have you, and all they drink is water (or protein shakes, but w/e) and they drink lots of it... and don't get red eyes when smoking... because they are hydrated.

Well, I never have been a huge fan of water... I mean... come onn... wheres the taste?! So if I ever needed clear eyes for whatever reason, I had to resort to eye drops... and wearing contacts that can be damaging seeing as I don't want to take them out every time seeing as I smoke so much.

Heres my answer... Gatorade. Recently I have been drinking a lot of Gatorade A.M. (Tropical-Mango Flavor mmm...) and IMO is rehydrates you MUCH better than water, and I haven't had a single problem with red eyes since.

So all of you stoners lookin for an easy way to not have to deal with red eyes, if your drinkin this stuff, you don't even need to worry about it.

Just thought Id let ya guys know... seeing as it actually has some flavor, and you don't have to worry about puttin in eye drops after smoking (or taking out and putting back in contacts if your worried about your eyes... which you should be).

Such as recently, I had a 4 day break from smoking. Over this time I had been drinking this Gatorade A.M. My friend calls me up and says hes got a suprise. I hop in his car, and he pulls out some of the best weed I have ever been lucky enough to smoke. We rolled a real nice blunt and had some fun. Normally, my eyes are completely red, not bloodshot... just red... Not this time. I was actually really amazed.

Alright... sorry if this post is REALLY long... just been bored all day. So... peace blades, I'll be back in an hour trippin my ass off. Time for fun.

thanks for the advice! i'll definitely try that, i am addicted to eyedrops. i get paranoid if i don't have them in. (i've used the contacts excuse before lol)

i drink a shitload of water (basically only what i drink). i never really get red eyes (unless im ripped). whats my dead giveaway is my droopy - eyes. i hate that

I don't think it rehydrates you better than water. They've done scientific studies and it's shown that water is still the best thing you can drink to get rehydrated. Gatorade and other sports drinks have sodium in it, so it keeps you drinking because it tricks your body into thinking you are still thirsty. If it actually rehydrated you better than water, then doctors would tell you to drink it instead of water.

Kudos to you for finding something that works for your red eyes tho. Good info for others that don't like the tastelessness of water and don't wanna use eyedrops.

Yeah man, there is no way that it actually re hydrates you better than water. BUT you have a very good point when you say that gator aid is tasty, I don't get the A.M. stuff though, does it have like caffeine or something? Why would you need different stuff in the morning

yeah ill give this a try.....but for me the absolute DEAD GIVEAWAY is the glossed over eyes...i havent found a remedy for this and shit every time it happens and is so apparent....

but yeah i love gatorade i got to try to drink more when i blaze and before i do too

Dont drink that gatorade too much, word from the dentists is that it eats away at your teeth faster than Coke and other pops do. Or at least brush your teeth a lot.

i havent got bad red eye in AGES...... ok like a few hours, but its never bin a problem for me, cos i do nothing. and whenever ive bin out in puplic in the last 9 months ive bin stoned. (omg sounds like im almost proud of it

)

...hmmm.... i drink water daily ((at least 3-4 bottles)) and if im not drinkin that, i drink Gatorade... been smokin 9 years... get Red Eye like 90% of the time.

....lost cause i guess

for those that are into eyedrops, make sure you check the active ingredients.....naphazoline hyrdochloride is the ingredient that takes the red out, the more the better.....also, look for one that includes an antihistamine also, again, the more the better......

Please look up what rehydrating means. It means raising the water-level in your body.

Now please, there is NOTHING better than water to do this.
