Is this true about acid?

A friend told me that when you take a drug like acid or shrooms, that makes you hallucinate, that it makes lesions on your brains and these lesions bust and pop open causing blood to run down your brain and that is what makes you hallucinate. I don't know about this. Is this at all true? Will someone please tell me some info about where acid goes in your body and what exactly it does to you?

I went to the NIDA and they always list the MOST negative information they can find on a substance and I read nothing about lesions there.

why the hell is it that when someone asks a question on here that they want some serious answers to that they get made fun of or people try and make them seem stupid. i really hate this and i only see it on this board. sorry just had to vent some.

Some people go about explaining things differently than others. I agree with you that sometimes people are insensitive about certain things and probably should just go on to the next thread if they can't be "nice" about what they are going to say but the fact is that the world consists of all kinds of people and that goes for this board as well.


I hate that you think that the City is the only place with negatives because it just isn't true. Actually, we are one of the "kindest" and most peaceful boards you'll ever run across and we don't allow people to go off on others in the manner that other boards do. I've seen some mean and hateful things at other places and you won't find that here because the moderators and administrators won't put up with it.

yup... i agree... for the most part people here are very kind.

and by the way phunkyphil... you don't always die from a brain hemmorage. it depends on where at in the brain it occurs, and how severe the hemmoraging is.

it says on erowid that acid doesn't really have many physical risks involved (meaning it doesn't do much harm to your body)... BUT... it does have psychological risks... if you can't handle intense hallucinogenics well you could end up loosing your mind. several people have been institutionalized from bad trips and such.

yea, sarah, just don't take what people say personally. it's all about people's different personalities and usually depends on what kind of mood i'm in when i read a post. erowid is your best bet for straight up info. really cool site too. u'll never get bored readin the "mind and spirit" part

phil...my best friends mom had a brain hemmorhage and she's ok now. she just ALMOST died. (so no...i don't think that acid causes brain hemmorhaging)

well i decided to pay another site a visit today to find out what it was like because i had heard that it used to be good and went downhill...it was indeed yahooka.....nearly every post would turn into a fight with flaming all the time lets not let the city get like that....as for your post about acid....everyone has in my mind, the right to take whatever they want whether it's right or wrong....i tried acid once and would never touch it again....i had a bad trip and let me tell you....it's impossible to escape from your own mind.....however some of my friends have done lots of it and had the best time of their lives on it......my advice to you.....don't take it if you feel negative about it....it will lead to a bad trip.......take it with close friends and people you can trust....not with people who will try to make your trip bad.....make sure that you will be with these people without interuption for approx 11-12 hours.....all in all just be carefull.......Peace out....Sid

thank you that was all helpful. i guess i will just go read at erowid about it though. i really want to know what it does to you to make the stuff happen. i have just heard alot of bad stuff about acid and your brain and spine and want to know what the truth is before i take acid or shrooms. what causes people to hallucinate? and does lsd get stored in your spinal cord or whatever? does your spine hurt afterwards? i have lots of questions... i have just heard so much about this stuff and i dont know if i have ever heard the truth. but thank you very much for your information you guys gave me.
and i really do love these boards i guess some of the people on here just make me mad sometimes.

I'm on a hiatus from hallucinogens... much for the reasons Sidious said. It'll probably make me (more likely) to kill myself.

I always thought the whole reason why you hallucinate is because particular chemicals "poison" your body. Hallucinations and such are symptoms of poisoning.
