help needed with covering up bong smell

Hi,

I'm a pretty new pot smoker and I've had success thus far with both a lightbulb vape and a sobe waterfall bong (I like to engineer my own constructions because it costs less and is more fun while doing so )

Now, my parents are fervent anti-marijuana people, and to let any hint get out that I'm up to illegal activities would NOT be a good thing. So far I've covered myself pretty well, at least with respect to the lightbulb vape, as I just put it in a couple ziplock bags and the smell seems to be very localized and easy to cover up.

However, I tried my Sobe for the first time last night and when I went to bring it back into the house after a few hours of major toking I made a major tactical error by believing that wrapping it in a towel would prevent any aroma from wafting up and into my house. Big mistake. After placing the wrapped Sobe underneath my bathroom sink for a few minutes, I came back to smell the entire bathroom seemingly flooded with pungent marijuana smoke--attempts to wash out the bottle/bowl with water and spraying Axe everywhere did practically nothing to alleviate the smell.

Luckily, I managed to get out a few feeble excuses to prevent any suspicion from my parents, but I was forced to throw out my beautiful Sobe... Is there any method or way that you guys know that could help me out here, like a case or a bag easily obtainable that could help me seal in the smell from the bong?

id drop it into a bucket of oxy clean, by morning it would be spotless but the water will be dirty...

dont put it in fucking oxy clean thats fucking retarded. Put it in a tuperware container and make sure the lid is on tight so nothing leaks out. If it still smells put it in 2 plastic baggies and the container.

Wrap it in dryer sheets, then put it in a ziplock bag.

The dryer sheets sound like a good idea, but I've heard bad things about using Ziplock bags... do these really prevent any air from getting in and out?

Also, to go along with the Oxy clean solution, what would be the best thing to use to clean this sobe out (i.e., make spotless new and non-smelling)?

definately oxy clean. 12-24 hour soak = spotless and no smell

Removes resin.

boiling Iso (91%) and using salt also works good for cleaning dirty pieces, but i still stick with oxy clean.

So is it ok if I just dropped the entire Sobe (bottle, bowl, pipe screen, stem) in the bucket of Oxy Clean? Would this leave any kind of unwanted residue in the bowl that would be toxic when I smoke out of it?

Also, I guess I'm looking for some kind of case or bag that would camouflage the fact that the sobe bottle IS a bong... I mean, dryer sheets and ziplock bag will mask the smell I'm assuming, but it also makes it kind of obvious that the ziplock is sheltering some kind of drug paraphernalia

For instance, I hide my lighter/candle/lightbulb vape inside an electric razor case that just masks it perfectly and is the exact right size... the only problem is that I can't think of any good-sized, air-tight cases that could fit this sobe bottle inside... any thoughts?

oxyclean is perfectly safe, just rinse it after your done soaking it.

not exactly sure how big a sobe bottle is, but the hole at the bottom for your waterfall could be hidden using (if it fits) a beer warmer neopreme thing

sounds good... and do you know by any chance whether the bucket containing oxyclean that is soaking the bong would have a pungent smell or odor that could give away its presence?

yea i think it would. Id definately soak it in a container that has a lid, the water will turn dirty brown and be suspicious. Ideal: a non clear container with lid that fits the sobe

Yeah, unfortunately my parents are the suspicious type--and it doesn't help that I stunk up my entire bathroom with reefer smoke from one used sobe bottle!

I think I'm gonna try the dryer sheets and the ziplock for now, unless anyone has any suggestions for some sort of case for the sobe bottle.

i can see in the near future, "Warning: missuse of dryer sheets is illegal and action will be intitiated upon discovery of missuse" and a big "FOR DRYING CLOTHES ONLY" label on the boxs of dryer sheets
