Dank Shelf Life?

Is searched the forums but didnt find a great answer to this question....assuming the dank u have is dried out ready to smoke, and as fresh as it gets....and u stored it in a cool dry place airtight....how long could u store that dank? I know there are variables as in mass/volume, but how long u think i cud keep say a half of dank? I feel like id be wasting it if i wasnt getting that dank high if i stored it too long.

if weed was legalized, the gov. wud have experation dates and shit...imagine if u went into a store and bought a pkg. of wed, and it said, "For best results, use by this date" haha

well if its truly an airtight jar (like a mason or something) im guessing at least a few months. open it up every now and then to let it get some fresh air. putting it in the fridge would help too (not freezer)

I can vouch I've kept bud this way for about a month and a week and it was not too bad when I finally did smoke it. Word to the wise try to keep your fridge clean and put a baking soda container in there helps eat up funky fridge smells that can and eventually do get to the weed (after about a month in the fridge w/o airing it out) Make sure to let fresh air in the container every few days maybe weekly.

If the government were to legalize it they probably would give it a shelf live of herbs and spices, about a year in grandmas cupboard.

Sorry for the double post the last one took me a couple minutes to write got pre-occupied.

Ive though about that two ways. Ok it would be cool to go to the grocery store and pick up a pack of joints. But now look at cigarettes that you roll yourself they are less harmful to you than regular cigarettes. I'm assuming the same would be for joints. Plus I like rolling my own I feel like its a skill passed down from generation to generation

ive ketp bud like this for over a year before and it was fine, i would guess that you could keep bud for years maybe even like 5-10 yrs considering conditions were 100% perfect at all times, weed is like wine and gets better with time
