| organic bud question
hello, i have been scouring the internet to find a answer to my health related concern about cooking with cannibus. I am one who has smoked in the past year or two, but i havn't done so for about three weeks, and that is because i am now more interested in cooking with bud, for the "smootherand longer high" that people talk about, as well as the benifits of not taking smoke into the lungs. Second, if i was to cook with say..some mid grade buds, from just some dealer i met, (green and orange, he says its grapefruit, it smells cirtus like), should i be worried about any pesticides/ fertilizers going into my food that is commonly associated with street bud? i was wondering if these chemicals are ingested anways when bud is smoked? in that case it wouldnt matter much anyhow. I put organic bud in the title to draw people who may know something about the production of bud/ cooking with non-organic weed.

Hmmm, I'm not positive but I don't think that growers would spray their cannabis plants with pesticides. I don't think that smoking/ingesting pesticides would be a good or healthy idea so I would hope that growers would take that into consideration. As far as fertilizers go, usually the grower will flush the plant with only water for the last week before it is harvested so I wouldn't worry about that. I would think cooking the cannabis would kill any bacteria or whatever due to the heat - I could be wrong though.

That is a damn good question, considering a lot of the pot I get is beasters and most likely has a on of ferts (if not pesticides) that were not flushed out. I imagine the answer would be as simple as finding out if any common fertilizer chemicals are fat soluble (same for pesticides). Anything that isnt fat soluble should be disposed of when you remove the used up weed and water from the water, weed, butter mix. Sidenote:: FUCK EVERYONE WHO GROW BEASTERS Start taking care of these plants. Half the bags I get are dripping wet with no perceptible smell besides grass and chemicals, and although it looks good upon first glance, under a microscope most of the trichromes heads (where THC, CNB, etc.. are stored) have been knocked off my someone.

as far as pesticides go, i doubt there are any, since it is a psychoactive plant. I'd imagine it'd fuck an aphid's world up. bacteria-wise, you're cool. the heat necessary to cook virtually anything will handle that. you ought to be fine. |
