Okay, i dont know if everyone has thought about this or not but i've met a bunch of people who say there fav. kind of weed is hydro, or they get it or something. The only thing is that when you say hydro its only a way of growing weed. There can be any kind of weed grown hydroponically (ex. Hydro Northern Lights, or Tai Stick Hydro). I was just wondering if anyone wondered why people say hydro like its a type of weed.

P.S. I've had shitty stuff that was grown hydroponically so could i call it hydro....I dont think so!

A lot of idiots in high school, and still some people around here, call any dank "dro" and it's annoying. The other day I bought some weed afrom a kid who said it was "dro". It was just some normal dense beasters without many trichs most-likely soil-grown, lol. Oh well, some people just don't know anything about weed, doesn't anger me. That term is just wayyyy overused.

I think people just say it because it makes everyone perk up and listen. Who knows, though. Even I'm not totally innocent when it comes to describing good weed as hydro, primarily to get my friends to shut up and stop pretending that they are an experienced connoisseur of marijuana and that my supply might be 'beneath' their standards. Words just start to lose meaning so we have to find new ones to replace them. I never call it hydro anymore because, while I do recognize the benefits, I think people tend to overrate hydroponics as a general growing technique. Bad hydro is still bad, good hydro is, well, amazing. But I will always have bias as I grow in soil.

The only thing I can think of, is that people who actually know what they're talking about, know that hydro is much more potent. the way we can manipulate the nutes at evry stage of growth, pluss increased O2 to roots, cant be matched in soil grow. But yeah, how would they know?

hydro is much more potent?..thats not true at all. Hydro is simply just another way to grow.Thats all!..

down here where i live we call anything hydroponically grown that is dank, dro, unless it has a strain name.
