anyone have any tips to rolling a smooth coned joint? Im pretty good with regular ones except i have a tendency to roll outside in causeing them to be packed in the center but all paper on the ends. So who can help me with that and rolling the cone?

This is gonna be kinda hard to explain, but I have some experience with cones. I learned a few weeks ago in Erope. Thats all they smoke over there. I've been using king sized papers but I guess regular ones would work ok too. Also, it helps a lot to roll them with tips. To make a tip use some thick paper. Card paper works pretty well. Cut a strip about 1.5cm by 5.5cm. Start by folding it back and forth accordian style 3 or 4 times, then start rolling it. Kinda hard to explain but it should end up looking like a tube 1.5 cm long with a zig-zag shape in the middle. To role the cone, lay the paper out flat, put the tip at one end and put the green in. Make sure that there is a little more herb on the fat end of the spliff and gradually narrows down to the tip. when you start to roll it, start at the tip end. If the tip is on your right, when you sart to roll it, pull the bottom right corner a little bit to the right of the right edge (got that?) Its easier than I make it sound, but anyways, thats what starts the cone shape. It just gets it started rollin a little offset. Once you have the tip end started, you can pinch it and hold it while you work on the rest of the spliff. Continue rolling it. When you get to the end, lick the edge and continue rolling. That last edge will spiral down the side slightly if you do it right. Don't really worry about getting it perfect while your rolling it. You can kind of shape it up a little better with a pen tip after you're done. Also, if some falls out, you can always pack it back in after your done. It takes some time and patience, but its not impossible. It may take a few times/ papers before it turns out like you want it. Hope that helps. Good luck. Peace.

Okay, I'm sure I'm going to sound extreeemly naive here, but I received a few packaged 'cones' with a bong I got the other day, but I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to use them for.

Are they just supposed to be some kind of a rolling 'guide', or do you place a paper in them, fill 'er up and then smoke right from it?

Don't laugh too hard!!

I've just been looking at these on occasion, I can't figure it out....

its all in how you start out the paper. to start practice rolling a good cone, angle one side of your paper slightly higer then then the other. Then as you lay your bud in, distribute more on the higher side of the paper....going gradually less as you go down. simple.

Also GanjaBat what is a good way to keep the green from falling out the ends. It seems when i roll the sides always dump out and im left with very papery ends.

Hey yall...got me some bud, ground it up and being the practice. First i used tobacco to see if i could get it down pat.

I figured since i was home and had time id try to make the filter that is so popular in Europe. WOW do those really help roll the joint. Filters work wonders. I seem to have the cone down pat thanks to yall. The way yall told me to fold the paper really helped. I feel all gooey inside because i just smoked the biggest cone id ever seen. Welp time to watch the Simpsons. Later guys.

Hey man, no prob, glad to help. Ya, about the green falling out the ends, really don't worry about it. It happens. But once you get a nice cone shape rolled its easy to just pack it back into the end and use a pen or something to pack it down. You can also kind of tap the spliff down on a hard surface to pack the contents down a little better. Ya, those filters make all the difference in rolling, even more so with long king size papers. It just seems to make a rounder, straighter, and better looking joint. And they make it hit so much easier too. I never roll without em now. Happy toking
