I just finished packing a bowl. Hit it. Not a great taste but bearable.

then i packed another one, out of the same bag and this hit BITTER. real bitter.

I didn't know the same weed could taste different. Or maybe i'm just a crack head?

Ugh...my piece is making the hits taste real bitter now for some reason. Maybe i just need to clean it...

yea, a good amount of resin can make your piece taste pretty bad. Cleaning is a good idea.

yea man all bowls are different. one time in the same bag of weed one bowl would get me kinda high and another bowl would literally blow me away. its just like that

i dont't know, one time, i was smoking a one-hitter, and i couldn't see any resin on the end, but damn was it the nastiest taste in the world. i think that even the slightest bit of resin can make your whole mouth taste like infected ass. try taking a flame to the mouthpiece to burn any resin off

what type of wood is it made out of? some taste better than others.

I dont know the type of wood, i just find the pipe in my parents dresser and took it. They had about 5 or 6 similar pipes in the same dresser.

I ran the pipe under hot water and scraped out the resin as best i could. Tastes a bit better now.

God's Son... Try rubbing alcohol if you have any around, that works better than water.

And you can even add a bit of salt to the alcohol and it works like an abrasive too.

ooh no.. not a wood pipe, don't leave it in any fluid too long. I did that once with one of my favorite pipes that I bought in Amsterdam and it ruined it..... pour some or the rubbing alcohol and salt mixture into the bowl and then clean it with a cloth or q tip or sumthin like that.
