Different High When I First Started

I just came across some old music I used to listen to when I was like 15-16 and just started smoking and let me tell you listening to that took me waaaaaaaaaay back -- the days of coke cans and worrying if I would get ID'd for papers and shit...lol there was magic in it back then

Anyways I remember back then I would get a completely DIFFERENT high. I know everyone gets higher when they first start because of tolerance but I'm not even talking about that. I've taken tolerance breaks before and this is different. It's like it was a different drug or something. I would get visual lag, sometimes to the point of like freeze-frame vision, and the weirdest thing was my sense of touch would get laggy too. Not always in sync with the vision either. Like literally I would touch something and not feel it for like 2 seconds. I also would get kind of like a warm buzz all over, kind of like when your foot falls asleep but over my whole body.

I'm not sure when exactly that went away and I started getting "normal" highs but I haven't been able to get that feeling back, even with tolerance breaks. I wasn't even smoking good weed back then, just mids out of like ghetto ass homeade pieces. Now I rip dank ass headies out of bongs and vapes and what have you and I get higher than shit but it's not the same as back then. It's not that it's worse it's just different. Idk, I kind of wish I could feel that old high again...

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone on here ever got the type of thing I'm talking about or if anyone knows what caused it? I really want to figure out what the deal was and if it is possible to get that kind of high again.

Well, Im sure mindset has alot to do with it and i know what you mean. When you first start smoking you will be a little on edge, always expecting something new, worrying about the law, this all raises addrenaline and other chemicals changing your mindset when you smoke. Now, its the same ol same just slightly different with the potency of weed and what not. That make sense?

Thats exactly how I am, I'd get mad framed vision. I'd stare off in one part of the room, then look over and it would shift to a different frame but made it feel like a COMPLETELY different part of the room or frame. I love it. Haven't had it in a long long time. Every now and then if I smoke a lot... 8th+ i'll get it.

^^Yes, but I disagree. If this is the same thing he was talking about it's different than that. Smoking now just doesn't have the same feeling. It's still fucking good though.

I still get that feeling sometimes if I'm stoned enough. I also, if I'm that high, feel like there's a buzz in a spot on my foot, and if I tap my feet I feel my whole body buzz from that point, and I tap out rhythms and stuff. If I've just gotten over a tolerance break, even when I come down from the weed the buzzing in my body will last all day and into the next.

yea i haven't been that stoned in a loooong time just cause it takes quite a bit more weed than it used too.

I already feel this way, after 4 months of smoking. I NEVER get as high as I used to now. At first I thought it was the quality of my weed, then I thought I just had to smoke more, but not even that seems to work frankly.

I guess just doing it your first time, not knowing what to expect, multiplies the mental effects..

No, i know exactly what he means. Before i began smoking daily, i used to smoke like once a month, maybe twice. I would get this (not to sound like a freak or anything but) orgasmic feeling over my whole body. I can't expalin it unless you know what i mean. It's similiar to the body rush i used to get going on rollercoasters when i was little, except this rush was an entire body high, and was paralyzing. I no longer get that feeling.

yea i can still get very very high but it still isnt the same as back in the day. but everytime i hear hip hop by dead prez it takes me back and i get such a nice feeling. ahhhhh

i know what you mean man, i feel the same way. my buddies and i used to smoke weed eighths at time with a good old sobe bong. man those were the days. those highs were some of the best ive ever had, of any drug.

i use to get this feeling where like gravity was hella stronger for a couple seconds, my friend called them gravity attacks. it tripped me out cuz like i would be reaching for my wallet to pay for burgers or some shit and then all of the sudden im like in this huge struggle to move normally against the forces of the earth

Happens to me if I get stoned enough. I'll be driving and the rough supsension on my car will really let you feel exactly what gravity is doing. It's pretty crazy, actually. But yeah...i know exactly what you mean man
