The truth commercial....

Okay, we've all seen it...kids are toking in a bathroom stall at a concert and a security guard busts the door down and arrests them.

but my problem isnt with the message the ad is sending...its with those dumb kids. I mean, if i was them i would have punched the secuirty guard in the face and made a run for it. The guard might bleed a little, but its the greater good when you think about the alternative.

yeah I would have bolted from security to..

the absolutely worst truth commercial is the one where the dude forces himself on the chick. They cut away from them, and you hear her say "No..", and then you hear him say "shutup.." So of course weed has the potential to turn us all in rapist and victims. Look I get horny when I smoke, but I wouldn't for a second even consider trying to force myself on anybody. Of course Ill try and hook up, but if I get the "go away" message, then thats it, Im chilling. Of course they don't say shit about alchohol, which will turn a calm man into an aggressive asshole

ya those truth commercials are total shit. Ive seen all of them, that I know of, and all are in situations where the person has to be incredibly stupid already. Esepcially that drive thru one, where the guy has like 75 feet between him nd the girl on the bicycle, he must be fucking blind if he doesnt see her. What I dont understand is why they show the same situation 4-5 times with it slightly different each time. Anyone know why this happens?

I especially think the one with the two kids and the pink bong makes us look like we are stupid enough to point a gun at one of our friends. Some of those commercials are complete BS. You have to be a complete idiot already to do any of those stupid things.

I think that they are showing them at different points in the actual high they have going on. I think the commercials are bullshit and it pisses me off really bad when they come on. There are going to be two more commercials aired during the superbowl.

WHITE HOUSE PLACES ANTI-DRUG SUPER BOWL ADS

Continue Campaign's Marijuana and Terror Themes

WASHINGTON ( AdAge.com ) -- The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy will run two ads during Sunday's Super Bowl broadcast, as well as two on the pregame show on Walt Disney Co.'s ABC.

Two of the Super Bowl spots are new work from Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson Worldwide, New York, for the Partnership for a Drug Free America. The ads are part of a "negative consequences" campaign meant to show that marijuana is not a "harmless" drug. In one spot, a 40-ish couple is shown looking worried about a pregnancy, but it turns out it is their daughter who is pregnant, who had unprotected sex after using marijuana.

Shift in direction

During last year's Super Bowl, the drug office debuted ads that suggested illegal drug use supports terrorism. While new ads that debuted in September returned to that theme, the campaign began a major shift in the direction as the drug office put the bulk of its budget behind discouraging marijuana use by young people. This is the first ad in that vein from McCann-Erikson; prior anti-marijuana ads were done by Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett USA, Chicago.

In one of the other new Super Bowl spots, from WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, a man riding on a subway car sees the ghosts of victims of drug crimes who tell him the dealers were fighting about his money. "Drug money supports terrible things," the ad says.

While the Partnership produces most drug office ads, the first drugs-and-terror ads were produced by the drug office's own agency, Ogilvy, without any involvement by the Partnership. The Partnership has declined to produce terror-related ads and has questioned their success, and the latest ads were again produced independently by Ogilvy.

They're just not realistic. Like the one where the kid shoots the other. If they were real stoners the one kid would have never shot the other because he would have still been hitting that bong. Did you see all the smoke comin out that sucker!?

My favorite is the one with the guys at the concert. First of all, no one in their right mind would smoke in a freakin bathroom stall while the concert was going on. Second, why the fuck weren't they smoking where everyone else was............................. IN THEIR SEATS. I've never been to a show where I've smelled but in the bathroom, but almost every show I go to has people smokin out right in front of me.
