Real quick question

Just got a quick question, when you're rolling a joint to smoke, do you NEED to use a roach? What happens if you don't, or how can you make one real quick

NO, NOTHING, and just tear off a strip of paper or business card and roll it up then put it at the base end of your joint and wallah!!! u have a roach ...

EDIT: some call it a roach or filter or crutch... many dif names for it depending on where u live.

Will cardboard from like a box of Claritin D work as a roach? And, i just roll it into like a cylinder and place it in my joint?

you don't NEED to make one. a lot of people i know don't use them ever. i personally like them cause i like to smoke all the weed, and it keeps drawing smooth even if someone slobbers all over it, which is a problem if there's no roach. I'll usually just tear off a piece of a business card or some sort of junkmail cardstock, roll it up so it looks kinda like one of those mosquito coils or a pinwheel or one of those lollies you get at the fair. then just put in there when you roll it up. ain't no thang.

I make mine differently than most people probably do. I just take a rolling paper, fold it over twice (longways) and roll that up into a cylinder. It's a little small but it works. You can also just use a cigarette filter, I do that sometimes too.

whatever you do, don't use a cig filter unless you cut it down a LOT. somehow it traps a shit-ton of THC. my experiment was equal quantities of bud, 1st smoke of the day, in the evening, on consecutive nights. 1 used a filter, the other a cardboard roach. i was "go to work" stoned the first night, and "laugh at hyena mating rituals for 2 hours" stoned the next night. draw conclusions as you will.
