If a cop can bust you for having a car stereo system that is too loud, but can't bust someone on a motorcycle for having an engine 10 x's as loud... Could he bust someone for blasting a recording of a really loud bike engine played through a really loud system? Hmmmm...

that was one of the most stupid questions i have ever heard. are you serious man. no turning up rap music and other sounds at the same volume dont carry the same consequences. think about it man. no offense or anything, cuz i love everyone, but just use common sense dude

they definatly can .... just because its a different sound dont mean anything .. its would be like asking if i played rock instead of rap ... dont matter to the popo ... they cant bust u witha loud engine though ..no laws against that ...

And as for the loud music... no they can not bust you unless there is an ordinance on the books saying they can. Usually a general "noise" ordinance goes into effect after a certain time (but even THAT has to be on the books before they can do anything to you for it). Around here the limit is like 10 PM.

So.... if there is no "loud music" ordinance on the books... and it's during the day (when the usual noise ordinance is not in effect)... well turn it up, man!

I'd check to see if you have such an ordinance though. Easy enough to do... a phone call away. Probably can even find the info on the net if you look hard enough.

In the city where I live they do have a loud music ordinance.

If they can hear your music a certain distance from your vehicle you will be given a warning. Second offence: ticket. 3rd offence... they take your sound system!

Imagine that! The cops hangin’ their asses in your car to take the system out of it.

So... it's all in the laws for your area.

personally second removed speaking, in some places I do believe the loud factor is an issue in some cities...loud is loud...
when its too loud, youre too old. and you know I think that this isnt true everywhere. dispite the fact that marmaduke himself didnt say it, but the comic did, nevertheless, *this* city isnt built on that

Hehe. In England my friend got kicked out of his flat for playing his stereo so loud that pictures fell off the wall....... at 7 in the morning.

Then he thought of the best way to get a new house!!

He got high on acid and wandered round the streets trying to get in trouble. Then when the pigs found him he said he was selling speed but all they found was a bag of flour. He got sectioned to a psyche ward for a month and didn't need to look for a home
