Smoking when you are sick

There are no avaliable pain killers around
and I think I have the damn flu, or some Chinese version of it.
My back hurts like Hell, I have no energy because I don't feel like eating anything (actually I'm a litle nausious).
My throats not sore though
I don't know, im sure smoking will make it worse but tell me your experiences with it anyway

meh...i always thought i got sick b/c of smoking (sick as in, cold or flu) but not anymore...last time i had a 2 day flu, then a bad cold...as soon as my cold settled in, i smoked again and it was fine...actually seemed to help,, or atleast didnt make it worse

I'm in the same boat as you. After researching this a little, I've found that the majority of people keep smoking through illnesses, but I personally am staying dry until I'm better. The first day I was sick, I toked and didn't feel sick for the duration of the high, but after it wore off, I felt twice as bad (although I can't be justified in blaming this on smoking, it's just too coincidental for me). And I've read that it might prolong the illness by lowering your immune system.

But either way I don't think it'll make much of a difference... if I didn't have final exams tomorrow I'd be smoking.

im feelin same way as u man if ur nose is runnin dont smoke and if roy coghing you smoke isnt gunna be fun the best think u can do during a cold is take niquil(sp?) i tried smokin while sick and it kinda a weird high but smoking can weaken your immune system so not always a good thing 2 do while sick.

i think that smoking helps when your sick. last time i had a fever of about 101.something i decided to take some gravity bongs.so i took one. minutes after i puked. but what happend was the weed came in my body did what was to be done and my fever accually went down a little. in conclusion marijuana helped me alot when i was sick.

Smoking helps with a lot of stuff. One time I had food poisoning, and I would feel nauseous every time I tried walking around. My friends came over because they felt bad that I was sick. We ended up smoking and I felt a lot better. I was even able to eat food without throwing it back up!

it has been proven that marijuana worsens your immune system over time, you could have contracted the cold because your body cannot fight it as it would. even so, it makes sense that it would make you feel better because it would put you in a happier mindset, therefore distracting you from how sick you are, its not actually making you feel better it is your mind telling you that you are high, you are happier, and just provides a distraction from how badly you are feeling

yeahh i would definately smoke if i were u, cuz weed is supossed to get rid of nausea (they did studies on it). plus, it'll relieve ur back pain, and also relieve the headache from ur fever, increase ur appetite (munchies, of course =D), and it'll also help u sleep. it always helps me when im sick. heres what i would do: whatever part of the day u smoke at (morning, lunch, evening/nite), i would smoke, then eat somethin, and then go to sleep. cuz the thing is, if u dont go to sleep within a few hours of smoking when ur sick, then u'll come down, and feel like shit. cuz everybody knows sleep is what cures sickness (or at least helps the time pass by less painfully). so u gotta smoke, then eat a little bit (but not too much), and then sleep. peace

Heres what would happen to me... i use to smoke cigs and they would make me sick (i got asthma so what do you expect) i found that when i didnt smoke cigs for a few days, but drank a lot of water and or green tea and smoked bud i would always feel better. my cure for EVERYTHING related to the imune system is to smoke weed and drink lots of water, orange juice, and green tea. It always works for me and when i tell people that when they get sick they always come back and tell me it works for them too

It may not cure you or anything but it deff makes being sick more comfortable
