Ugh... A friend and I tripped on dramamine this summer. Dramamine is a motion sickness pill but its basicaly benadryl. The trip was great but not a good expierence. Ended up with an arrest and the rest of the day in the hospital.

First of all, from the way your post reads he only OD'd medically. Meaning, he took more than the recommended dosage and had loss of motor controls/etc. I'm a pretty experienced DXM user, and I must say that many of you need to do your research before you start talking a bunch of shit. Some people actually HAVE to take Benadryl when they robotrip because it eases the allergic reaction to all the other bullshit inactive ingredients. It stops roboitch, redness, hotskin etc. He is a dumbass in fact for tripping when an authoritative figure was around, that's for sure. If your tripping DXM in front of a bunch of sober people, it usually doesn't work.

haha, oh it works alright....most people actually comment and ask if you need to be taken to the hospital or something of that nature, i cant enjoy a dex trip at like a party, certain drugs r ment for diff. situations, and dex is definitly not a party drug

Dude, if anyone sober saw someone on 350mgs they would call the hospital. When you're looking at 8 for a recreational trip, it's no big deal. And you're right, dex is not a party drug...unless it's a dex party!

can you trip off benadryl? i always thought that was to counter act the dxm itching

The DXM in delsym is DXM politirex - it's slowly released over time. One bottle will not make you trip that hard unless your DXM cherry has not been popped. What it does is slowly release over time to give you a very long, drawn out "trip" comparable to that of an afterglow of a DXM HBr trip. This can last multiple days. DXM HBr is the DXM found in Robitussin, CVS Tussin, and other generic tussin products. DXM HBr is the DXM that delivers a more intense trip, but one that doesn't last as long as if you drank a bottle of Delsym. Besides, you've really gotta understand dosages as well before you're going to make these comparisons. One bottle of Robitussin Long Lasting contains 350mg of DXM. 350 is what would commonly be classified as a mid 2nd plateu trip, maybe a high 2nd for a DXM n00b. Personally, 350 doesn't do shit for me. Yes, tolerance is apparent in DXM usage. I started at 350 and then went to 500. When 500 stopped it's magic, I went up to 700mgs. Once the liquid gets nasty, you can substitute with the cough gels. I don't know where I'm going with this but there's a little more information that should help you and others.
