Final Weight on Outdoor Harvest w/ Trimmed Macro Pics

well, all of the bud ended up drying around yesterday. some went into jars around monday, after 6 days of drying, but the last 1/3 or so, which were on big stems which were holding a lot of moisture, finally dried up yesterday and i put them in jars.

me and my girlfriend have trimmed for probably 6 hours and only gotten half way through.

when you look at the pics you'll see why. we are trimming almost every leaf off because it just makes the buds look so much better.

i took a pic of a nug untrimmed, then took one after i finished. the difference is HUGE.

i got around to weighing all of the bud today.

total weight was 65g.

so about 2 ounces and 9 grams. not bad for free huh

i ran out of jar space and had to use some gerber jars.

one of the ball jars is untrimmed, and the four gerber jars are untrimmed. like i said, only half way done with the trimming. it's so time consuming, especially since i usually rip a bong or two before doing it.

ummm, i'm speachless..... i had the (apparantly ignorant) impression that if you wanted weed like that you had to grow it hydroponically.... and yes, it was deffinately worth trimming. +rep for sure man.

How many plants did that take? I'm curious because I had 4 female plants that were budding and EVERY FUCKING BIT WAS EATEN BY DEER. This makes me so jealous, great job on the grow! + rep for sticking it out and not getting shown up by pussy little animals.

edit: ^^ just read that. the 2 ounces of bud is probably 1/4-1/3 of the entire harvest. my buddy's rolling in the free dank right now. he grew it right in his backyard, in plain site. it was fuckin huge too.

the first time i went back there he was like just look for it, so i was scanning around, then BAM. 6 foot weed plant blending in with the rest of the bushes and trees and stuff.

ok, to clear up the confusion...

i didn't grow this.

it was given to me by a cool friend. a horrible storm passed through and knocked down half his plant. he said i could have the four colas that fell because he didn't have his shit together to dry them and everything yet and didn't want them to mold or something because he was rushing it, so he just gave them to me.

i expected it to be like high mids at best, i definitely didn't expect dank like that.

i'm waiting until i finish trimming everything to make some butter for brownies, i've got around 2 ounces of leaf to make brownies with, so i'm hoping they turn out good.

the difference the trimming makes, IMO, is amazing. i would most likely pay more for buds that look like what i trimmed than for leafy buds in the before picture.

evan, when are you coming down? you'll have to try it whenever you do.

if by evan you meant me (my name is kevin so you might have gotten confused) I could make it probably in a few weeks (i have to request time off 2 weeks ahead of time). hopefully if i come it will still be warm enough to play disc golf.

Basically you can use any seed and get some dank ass shit if you care for it properly. Usually dirt weed wasn't grown properly, picked prematurely, didnt dry or cure long enough, lacked nutrients, etc. Basically buying $80 seeds is a waste because all you're getting is a name behind your weed...if you get expensive seeds you can still get shitty weed if you dont grow it properly.

Bagseed is free (for the most part), and you use every last bit of your weed that you buy...plus if you fuck up you dont lose any money on seeds. But remember, any seeds have potential to produce some dank buds. You can even change the flowering time period to produce a different high by monitoring the trichromes' color.

BTW those buds look delicious. After you let them cure they should smell and taste incredible.

Im going to do the same with my buds, too, trim to NO leaves remain. I've recruited my friend to help me for free he loves weed he could trim all day
