hey i wanan make a SWEET homemade bong not the shitty ass coke bottle craps. now i have everythign that i want except for the stem and the bowl. i wanna make one, not buy one because for certain reasons i cannot go to a head shop and purchase a bowl and a stem. i wanan make it out of something. wut makes a good bowl?? what makes a good stem?? how do i connect them??? all suggestions are appreciated thanks peace

go to a hardware store and find the correct sizes of brass fittings and be creative and fasion yourself one. it might cost you 35-50 cents for the fittings plus sme tubing. you can make some cool bongs for cheep at a hardware store.

What I have found that fit together easily and are easily accesable are laser pointer caps and the reflector thing inside flashlights. If you unscrew the head or a flashlight there will be that little metal shiny thing that the bulb is in the middle of. Its slightly cone shaped and has a hole in it. Take that out.Most laser pointer caps fit easily in that hole. hot glue the two together. As for the stem, my little brother came home one day with hollow metal knitting needles that are this cool metallic blue color. I cut them up with a hacksaw and they fit either in (if you use the pointed end of the knitting needle) the laser pointer caps or around the hole if the part you cut is square. Even the hard plastic straws from chinese yo yos will fit a laser pointer cap, (which you can use by itsself if you have to.) As for screens, the screens inside your sink work well and fit well also.

Sorry to be kind of off topic, I don't have any suggestions for homemade stems/bowls, but I just wanted to say that an easy way of making a 4ft bong is to use the plastic tube around a fluorescent light bulb. I just went out and bought a stem/bowl whic has already broken. Anyway, just wondering, has anyone else ever tried this?

Not a big fan of the homemade smoking devices. The only thing that I use like that is some attachment that I bought in a head shop. Converts any beer bottle into a mini hooka. Thought that was pretty badass, but the bowl is rather tiny I think.
